The result of the discussion was delete. Similar redirects will have to be nominated separately if desired. -- Tavix (talk) 02:25, 12 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There are only two: Stefano Maiorano and Nick, a Survivor: Kaôh Rōng contestant. Maiorano currently redirects to the former, where there is a hatnote for the latter. Clarityfiend (talk) 08:12, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete, no reason to flood Wikipedia with such name redirects. Geschichte (talk) 11:13, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. I was confused by this as the current target lists four people with the same surname, however that surname is Maiorana while this redirect is Maiorano. Given that Mairoano is a different surname this is confusing, as we don't have a surname page for Maiorano there is no suitable alternative target. Thryduulf (talk) 13:53, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Listify, convert Maiorano to a surname article, and repoint this there. Aside from Stefano and Nick, there is a saint, San Lorenzo Maiorano, Argentine Minister of Justice Jorge Luis Maiorano -- so there are atleast 4 persons with coverage as topics in some articles -- 65.92.246.43 (talk) 12:56, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The current target is due to this 2010 RfD. At the time, the article had a mention of a village with the name, but that mention is not there anymore. I can't find any evidence for the existence of a subdivision or settlement with this name [1]. – Uanfala (talk) 01:22, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment this was created as an article, but it was just a copy/paste of the very basic facts about Pakistan from the CIA World Factbook or a similar source and redirected to Pakistan 7 minutes later, and then retargetted to the present target (by Cromium) 3 years after that. If revered to that version it would be speedily deletable under A1, A3 and/or A10 so there is no need to send this to AfD if consensus is against keeping it as a redirect. Thryduulf (talk) 03:59, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - I’m not sure why I redirected it there but I don’t think it is noteworthy even if it exists. [24Cr][talk] 22:19, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pô departmént[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Move. It was moved to Po (department) without leaving a redirect, which allows us to preserve the history at a less-awkward title. Po (department) has been overwritten, since it had no meaningful history. Jay (talk) 06:16, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:Verdy p nominated this redirect for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pô departmént; since redirects don't belong at AfD, I am moving the discussion here and procedurally closing the AfD. Verdy p's original deletion rationale follows:

"Non-sense accent on the second term, only a vary old typo left unmaintained for years, but never used anywhere. After I had properly renamed here, I just wanted to nominate the generated redirect for speedy deletion (matching the current WP policy for deletions: WP:R3 only applies to recently created redirects from "implausible typos or misnomers"), but someone (anonymous IP User:91.219.149.124) reverted this request. There's absolutely no value in keeping these typos, invalid in all languages (accent in the English term, but still not the correct orthography in French, official in that location), even if this is very old and concerns a page that was just a very early stub with errors and undeveloped. It was also not linked from anywhere (any wiki, or other external sites). The term "departmént" is clearly a misnomer. The name also itself is still ambiguous with present-day department in Burkina Faso and the former department in Northern Italy during the French Empire: there's a separate old discussion for fixing the page name as well for the Italian page and avoid incorrect mixes between the two topics. I have also fived (but kept) other possible names with their redirects, because they are plausible, but NOT this one.

Note also that I have also copied "as is" the old talk into the correct target talk page for the Italian topic."

This is a procedural nomination; I am neutral. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 00:47, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Delete, as completely wrong and nonsensical. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 09:34, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
