Fatima Ladan[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Delete. Ruslik_Zero 13:36, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We've got a bit of a cart before the horse problem here. This page was originally created as an article, and was moved to draft space at the initial contributor F5pillar's request following a deletion nomination. After being G13 tagged today, F5pillar converted it to a redirect to Kannywood Actors. Given that that list appears to be a list of notable items (see second section), it's not appropriate to include Ladan until her notability is demonstrated, so I removed the mention from there. If anyone is interested in working on the article further the draft can be restored, but if no one plans to do so in the near future, the redirect should be deleted. signed, Rosguill talk 17:01, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Strong keep Move back as draft or merged to Kannywood bcuz am not ready to improve the article or may be later but many user in Hausa Wikimedia can help to improve it. Right away I have some sources claiming her notability, eg, here, here, here, here, list of Kannywood films done and here are very OK to claimed her notability but don't know your choice.(F5pillar---/ 'Messager🖋📩) 08:05, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. If Ladan is not notable, she should not be listed at the target and a redirect there would be misleading. If she is notable, then this should be deleted per WP:REDLINK to encourage article creation. -- Tavix (talk) 02:57, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

IUPAC spelling[edit]

The result of the discussion was retarget to International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry#Basic spellings. signed, Rosguill talk 20:48, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The target section talks about the IUPAC nomenclature of organic and inorganic compounds, not the IUPAC spelling of English words like caesium, sulfur, etc. as expected. Therefore, delete this redirect to encourage editors to create an article about this particular spelling. Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 18:02, 18 October 2020 (UTC) Edit: Retarget per DMacks. --Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 09:15, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I added a § Basic spellings to the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry article. So retarget to that section. DMacks (talk) 18:29, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Three related redirects, all of them apparently artefacts of (quickly reverted) POV moves of Tsamiko. While any of these three targets (+ the dances of the unrelated Chams) would on its own be an alright target, there's no way to decide which one is better. I don't see disambiguating as viable as these are all descriptive phrases that aren't likely as search terms. – Uanfala (talk) 18:00, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect with a typo between the name and the disambiguation. There is already a correct version at Tim Stamper (TV Character) so there is no navigation lose to any reader, but it will make sure this version is never used in text. Gonnym (talk) 14:35, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete: because the target article has no content relevant to the subject. Petebutt (talk) 05:03, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Since both search terms are mentioned on their respective targets, specifically on the "History" section of each article. CycloneYoris talk! 06:58, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep re 1407 - it does now have further content regarding 1407 Flight. GraemeLeggett (talk) 12:16, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep both per above. They are mentioned on their respective pages, unlike the nom's claim. Regards, SONIC678 17:24, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not Lego related at all, and no mention of Legos at the target. Additionally, this was tagged for G3, and it seems that this was created by a sock. Delete unless a justification can be proven. OcelotCreeper (talk) 01:45, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Is internet slang ever called that? When I search on the web I see mostly various proposals for English spelling reform. Also, none of the entries in the dab page New English seem relevant. – Uanfala (talk) 00:15, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. This is nothing more than a useless redirect created back in 2008 by a blocked sock. CycloneYoris talk! 00:41, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Satisfies WP:G5 as the sock was blocked in 2008, whereas its puppeteer was banned in 2007. Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 02:18, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
