The Western Libya clashes did not take place in 2019. Seventyfiveyears (talk) 20:11, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • The linked page shows that it's a campaign, not a clash. Also, clashes and campaigns aren't the same thing. Seventyfiveyears (talk) 20:52, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I don't think these redirects would create confusion: the 2019–2020 article is linked. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:33, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was 'no consensus Thryduulf (talk) 19:31, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The article does not use the word "polytechnic", and Balghat Polytechnic College is ambiguous with Government Polytechnic Balaghat. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:36, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • What is your proposal exactly? To delete it entirely? Or redirect somewhere (where?) else? §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 13:53, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
But Balaghat ITI, Balaghat Polytechnic and Balaghat Engineering are all housed in same building and run by same institute. ref. I dont see why it should be deleted. We can consider renaming the main article as "Balaghat Polytechnic and Engineering College, Rudha" just how they call themselves on their website. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 14:27, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That link isn't working for me. But your suggestion may be a good one if we can support it with proper referencing. --BDD (talk) 16:51, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Coaldale High School[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. No prejudice against recreating if we end up with coverage of any topic known by this name. --BDD (talk) 16:47, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete, due to the fact that it links to a disambiguation page, and neither of the pages under that disambiguation mention anything about a high school, or have an education section. Nothing links to it as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by YellowSkarmory (talkcontribs) 00:24, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. This took some researching, but there used to be a Coaldale High School in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania but it closed in 1974 after merging into what is now Panther Valley School District.[1] The building is now (or possibly was) a community centre known as the "Coaldale High School Complex", the last word of which sometimes gets dropped. There is also a high school in Coaldale, Alberta, the Kate Andrews High School, that sometimes gets called Coaldale High School but in context this is at least mostly just "a Coaldale high school" with the first word dropped for headlines and similar. Thryduulf (talk) 02:14, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to DAB page Coaldale and tag as {{R from incomplete disambiguation}}. In addition to T's link, there's a non-RS alumni site for the former school in Schuylkill County; and newspaper evidence 1 2 that Kate Andrews High School in Coaldale, Alberta is informally called Coaldale High School. Narky Blert (talk) 07:22, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Coaldale, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania since there aren't any other schools of the name for now despite the Alberta one. Add to that article per the Times News Online news articles. It could also be written up as a stub since it was a high school in that town for a while. • Delete. If there is currently no information for a school under this name (either the PA one or the Alberta one) on WP, then this redirect should be deleted. It's either not notable or deletion rule #10 applies. If someone wants to create a stub after the fact that could certainly be done. Mdewman6 (talk) 20:15, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

List of National Park Service areas in Oregon[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to List of the United States National Park System official units. No prejudice necessarily against restoring as an article, but anyone considering it should take heed of the concerns expressed in this discussion, and try to address them. --BDD (talk) 16:25, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The current target offers none of the information a reader would expect to find. This redirect should at least be retargeted to List of areas in the United States National Park System, or perhaps better to List of the United States National Park System official units, as it has a single list sortable by state. Mdewman6 (talk) 09:39, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment I'd be fine with reverting the original blank and redirect, though there are only ~5 areas in Oregon, so unclear what value a standalone list has, which is the presumed reasoning behind the blank/redirect. It also would raise the question of what to do with List of National Park Service areas in Alaska which was also blanked and redirected and has more areas than Oregon to list, though that discussion could happen subsequently and separately. More broadly (WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS notwithstanding), only these 5 states mentioned have such state-specific lists, and unless they offer more content than the national list pages mentioned above, I am not sure I see their value. Satoshi Ketchum[edit]

The result of the discussion was no consensus. I've tagged with {{R from incorrect name}}. --BDD (talk) 16:18, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I may be wrong, but I don't think Ash is ever called Satoshi Ketchum in the Japanese version, just Satoshi. This redirect combines his name in two different languages, making this unlikely. This redirect is 14 years old, but in all that time it's only received about 259 views. TheAwesomeHwyh 22:32, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak keep It's sort of on the borderline between plausible and not, but since Satoshi is a disambiguation, it could be a sort of natural disambiguation. WP:CHEAP applies.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 10:04, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Disputes surrounding the 2020 United States presidential election results#Coup verbiage. --BDD (talk) 16:12, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

WP:RNEUTRAL, WP:POVTITLE. The first possible interpretation of this redirect is the election of Joe Biden is an "attempted coup" for unsubstatiated allegations of fraud by the Biden-Harris campaign, Hugo Chavez and other nonsense. The second interpretation is that the Trump meltdown amounts to a coup attempt, which will also be disputed. Ribbet32 (talk) 05:15, 25 November 2020 (UTC) WP:RNEUTRAL now satisfied in my interpretation. Ribbet32 (talk) 21:06, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: No matter which way you interpret this, it's flagrantly non-neutral. This is clearly a political statement. OfficerCow (talk) 07:30, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • It's based on RS, so it meets our NPOV policy, which requires that editors not get in the way of what RS say, IOW don't censor or neuter it. Neither content nor sources have to be neutral, only editors, because they must edit neutrally. Read my essay: NPOV means neutral editing, not neutral content. NPOV does not mean No Point of View. -- Valjean (talk) 22:35, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • KeepRetarget now that a better target has been created (Disputes surrounding the 2020 United States presidential election results#"Coup" verbiage) I have redirected it to that target. The wording of the redirect is based on RS, so is not a violation of any policy. -- Valjean (talk) 16:38, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget per Valjean. WP:RNEUTRAL applies here so it doesn't matter that the title is non-neutral. Thryduulf (talk) 17:49, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
