The result of the discussion was delete WP:SNOW. -- JHunterJ (talk) 12:55, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Those films were already released, so why would they still be upcoming? Delete those per Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2020 November 9#Upcoming redirects. Seventyfiveyears (talk) 22:40, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete all. No longer upcoming; not contentious. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:26, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all at least until there are new films announced with those titles. We wouldn't want to mislead readers in such cases. Regards, SONIC678 05:52, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You Thought Wrong[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate. (non-admin closure) Asmodea Oaktree (talk) 17:51, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Currently, this redirects to Love Me Now?, but there is also an album track with the same name on Thankful (Kelly Clarkson album). Neither appear to be notable enough for their own articles. There is not a clear redirect target for this since there are two songs with the same name on two different albums. Aoba47 (talk) 22:02, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep and turn into a dab would be the way to go here. Ss112 22:12, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Makes sense to me. Thank you for the comment. Aoba47 (talk) 22:41, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Ss112: Would it be preferable to somehow withdraw this discussion to create the dab or to leave this up for further discussion? I am not used to redirects for discussion so I am not really sure on the protocol for this kind of situation. Aoba47 (talk) 05:20, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Aoba47: It's up to you. You're allowed to withdraw your nomination, especially if there's not much of a discussion or it's not progressing with more and more users commenting (as there doesn't really seem to be at present). Ss112 09:09, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you for the responses. I have never really worked with drafts so I am not too experienced in that area. I would like to withdraw this, and I will make the dab over the weekend. Would I have to do anything special to withdraw this or would just posting on here that I would like to withdraw this be enough? Aoba47 (talk) 17:55, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Greater Bay Area[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. Most participants feel this is comfortably the primary topic for the specific phrase with "Greater", and it's hatnoted appropriately. A requested move would be recommended if there's an inclination to move the target to this title. ~ mazca talk 00:30, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Should the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area be the primary topic? This was a redirect to the Chinese one as of 2019. Prior to that, it was a redirect to Bay Area (disambiguation). Posting on behalf of editor who has COI on the article. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 21:13, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Posting on behalf of Fidan160. I have no 🐶 in this RFD. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 16:31, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Some quick Google searches indicate that the current target is likely the primary topic for the term, and the article already has an appropriate hatnote. I think we can keep this as-is. - Eureka Lott 23:29, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Eureka Lott, sorry, I should clarify. Should Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area be renamed to Greater Bay Area? AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 16:30, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for clarifying. That sounds like a subject for a WP:RM, no? - Eureka Lott 17:43, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is even more confusing. I only know of one place called "Bay Area" - the San Francisco Bay Area, where I live. I'd say support disambiguation. Aasim (talk) 04:48, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, as "Bay area" is generic, but "Greater Bay Area" specifially refers to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. Félix An (talk) 18:58, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for all your inputs. So far, I haven't come across with 'Greater Bay Area' term referring to another bay area, only to this one. Just recently another White Paper about Greater Bay Area has been released by Merck China, please follow it here https://www.merckgroup.com/content/dam/web/corporate/images/country-specifics/china/st-attachment/white-paper/Guangdong-Hong%20Kong-Macao%20Greater%20Bay%20Area%20Innovation%20Ecosystem%20White%20Paper.pdf. I will start updating the page nevertheless and if in the process there is a consensus to change the title of the page, then we do it. Thanks! Fidan160 (talk) 09:58, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was disambiguate. Really more of a no consensus, but since no one argued in favor of the status quo, disambiguation is a more suitable outcome. signed, Rosguill talk 23:15, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Simply French for "The Conquest". War of the Conquest seems to be a clear redirect for this conflict, but searching suggests that this shorter phrase is just too vague. Hog Farm Bacon 20:47, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This seems to be a neologism. Results on Google Scholar and the internet appear to predominantly be typos of "authorization". Delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 20:37, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak retarget to authorization as a typo. The current location would be a surprise if not mentioned as a neologism term. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 20:57, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete without redirect, the term has nothing to with the whole topic (democratic backsliding), no more relation then milk would relate to cow - sniff or authorized capital. However, AngusWOOF have a considerable point.(KIENGIR (talk) 13:14, 13 November 2020 (UTC))[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Soundwave. Weak consensus for this, with no prejudice against renominating this page alongside similar redirects for a more thorough discussion. signed, Rosguill talk 23:12, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

At this capitalisation, this redirect should target disambiguation page Soundwave. Note that Sound wave and Sound waves both correctly target Sound. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 18:20, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This one had 3 links-in. All 3 were unnecessarily complicated (they were simply about sound). All had been piped as [[Sound Wave|sound wave]]. Narky Blert (talk) 15:39, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of upcoming games at the target, delete unless someone intends to significantly change the scope of the target article signed, Rosguill talk 17:51, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. Thryduulf (talk) 13:52, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete target article doesn’t have info on upcoming racing games, we don’t have such a list elsewhere on the site and something typing this a search term isn’t looking for info on racing games in general so the current target isn’t helpful.--65.92.160.124 (talk) 18:53, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect should be deleted. It is for a non-notable Japanese baseball player drafted by the Lions in 1997, however I cannot find any English-language information on him and per the ja:安藤正則 he never even played for its "major league" team, only its farm team. --TorsodogTalk 05:32, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete one mention at List of Nippon Professional Baseball players (A), but it looks like that list should only contain players with Wikipedia articles (and the redlinks are there just because the list hasn't been kept up to date after AFDs), so it wouldn't be a good place to retarget. Without any other mention, we have nowhere to send readers trying to find information about him. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 06:22, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is an ordinary dictionary word meaning "uniform" in three different languages (see wikt:制服). It doesn't just mean school uniforms either, but covers any kind of uniforms including military uniforms, work uniforms, etc. Therefore it's not appropriate as a redirect to one kind of uniform in one country which uses this term, and it seems rather dubious to create a {{Chinese title disambiguation}} at this lemma either. The best solution is either {{Wiktionary redirect}} or deletion. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 01:52, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: this redirect may cause confusion. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:44, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Soft redirect to Wiktionary since that page at Wiktionary seems to be a better target, and its also another lanuguage for clothing. However, the Wiktionary page does not mention about school uniforms. Seventyfiveyears (talk) 18:35, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete This redirection would cause many confusion due to the Redirect word being in another language that is simply called Clothing. --StaleGuy22 (talk) 01:44, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
