This is potentially(?) a keyboard layout that isn't mentioned at the target. -- Tavix (talk) 21:31, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete I can't find any evidence in reliable sources that this is a keyboard layout. Google searches finds usernames, complaints about errors in AZERTY software keyboards and years old forum posts about incorrect linux keyboard mappings. I have found a couple of non-English forum posts that mention it as possibly being a thing - one describing it as "German/Scandinavian", one as "Other German" and one that didn't give a description and may have been an error for AZERTY (the context was I think Cyrillic equivalents to Dvorak or Dvorak in Cyrillic environments). So that plus the lack of mention makes this clearly not a useful redirect. Thryduulf (talk) 21:47, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Trump of Malawi[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was soft delete as unopposed. -- Tavix (talk) 22:52, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The most I could find to back up this moniker was a post in the comments section of a news article. Searching for "Trump of Malawi", I mostly get results about a Malawian man who looks a lot like Trump. Delete unless a justification can be provided. signed, Rosguill talk 18:55, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete -- JHunterJ (talk) 11:35, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The term is no longer mentioned in the target dab and has no significant coverage elsewhere in Wikipedia. It usually refers to a 1984 NATO exercise. Certes (talk) 18:45, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Traditional scholars[edit]

This search term doesn't necessarily refer to scholars of Islam. Delete due to ambiguity. signed, Rosguill talk 18:43, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete It's a reasonable search term, but I don't see any good target for it. Any scholars who wrote prior to the modern period (in the history of human thought and the history of science) on any topic in any society could be called "traditional scholars", so it definitely shouldn't be pointing to a single topic area. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 02:05, 18 July 2020 (UTC)'[reply]
  • Delete this, it can refer to traditional scholars of any religion (not just Islam), the history of anywhere, or just about anything, even Wikipedia. Regards, SONIC678 03:41, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. This redirect is ambiguous and may cause confusion. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 12:14, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Procedural close. Both redirects now point to the same target, thanks to D.Lazard. (non-admin closure) CycloneYoris talk! 01:31, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Both redirects should point at the same target, either to section or to the introduction. 1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) 17:50, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy close per WP:SNOWBALL. I have edited the two redirects and the target article. Now, both redirects point to the same section, where both terms are defined and bolded. D.Lazard (talk) 20:11, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

List of coastal islands of the Californias[edit]

The result of the discussion was speedy restore. Per WP:BLAR, when there is disagreement on whether or not a page should be redirected, the page should be restored and listed at AfD. A trout is also being handed out to Reywas92 for not following that procedure along with the personal attack that went along with it. It's probably a blockable offensive, but it's best not to escalate things where possible. Hopefully this matter can be resolved civilly moving forward, and if that's not possible, please just walk away from the situation. -- Tavix (talk) 19:24, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect is misleading because it now goes to a list which is just the US territories rather than the full geographic region of The Californias, as in the title. The page started in 2004 as coastal islands of Alta and Baja California and so that redirect is wrong now too. The page was fine as a list of islands in that region of Mexico/US but someone recently tried to delete it. When the prod was removed, they became abusive and have been edit-warring to force this invalid title change. I reckon that the full list ought to be restored but as it's currently a redirect, I'm starting discussion here at RfD. Andrew🐉(talk) 14:58, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was procedural close - see WP:RM Thryduulf (talk) 12:27, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is currently a disambiguation page at Fairfield Park (disambiguation). The DAB page should be Fairfield Park and Fairfield Park (disambiguation) should redirect to it. Leschnei (talk) 11:46, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Island of France[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep -- JHunterJ (talk) 11:28, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Could also mean one of the islands of France (e.g. Corsica). Retarget to list of islands of France. Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 06:15, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. This is the translation of "Île-de-France" and I've seen in it offline sources a few times. Someone wanting the list is more likely to use the plural "islands" but I've added a link to there as a see also section. Thryduulf (talk) 12:38, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. The title is ambiguous and should therefore point to the DAB page as {{R from other language|en|fr}}, so that links to it can be easily found and corrected. Narky Blert (talk) 16:34, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In 18th century British sources, the most likely meaning is Isle de France (Mauritius), which was a notorious pirates' nest. Narky Blert (talk) 16:41, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Thryduulf. I believe the nom's concerns are addressed by the addition of the islands list in a new "see also" section. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 17:02, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Or a hatnote should be added on the list article. --Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 17:06, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as long as the term does not refer to anything particular (outside of a literal (bad) translation of 'Île-de-France')... nothing, to my knowledge), and please do consider how often this redirect is hit (page statistics). Cheers. TP   17:35, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
