  • Delete, it is a sock filled with a butter bar that Sam Puckett rarely uses to attack people. I can't find its relevance to the series as a whole. (CC) Tbhotch 19:55, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Kiwis[edit]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Kiwi. signed, Rosguill talk 05:23, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Given that there are multiple things that can be referred to as "Kiwis", this should probably be retargetted to Kiwi. However, this is somewhat well-linked, so I didn't want to do the change without some consensus. Elliot321 (talk | contribs) 11:24, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to DAB page Kiwi and tag as {{R from plural}} and {{R from ambiguous term}}. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the inlinks referred to New Zealanders in general, or to Kiwis (rugby league), the national team. Narky Blert (talk) 13:42, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment out of the original 15 incoming links in mainspace, 5 of them intended to link to targets other than the bird (two each for Kiwi (people) & Kiwis (rugby league), and one for kiwifruit). I just fixed those links. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 14:09, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to dab per nom. Thryduulf (talk) 14:25, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget as there is no primary topic for the plural. Shouldn't this have been the automatic result of the recent RM? – Uanfala (talk) 21:16, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • You can't infer that singular and plural automatically have the same (lack of) primary topic. Thryduulf (talk) 23:40, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      • True, in principle. But all the significant entries on the dab page could be pluralised, with equal likelihood, and there wasn't anyone in the RM arguing for different treatment of the plural. – Uanfala (talk) 01:15, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
        • That's because there was no discussion of the plural at all. Thryduulf (talk) 14:35, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Regarget back to Kiwi per WP:PLURALPT its already been decided that the singular doesn't have a primary topic and all 4 main uses at the top appear to use this term (definitely the fruit) and when I Google kiwis the Kiwi (people) article is the 1st result and many other results are for the fruit or people, Images returns more for the fruit but there is also quite a few for the bird while Books is mixed. This is a case where we should have assumed the lack of primacy since although some of the less common uses (like the band) don't appear to use the plural there is Kiwis (rugby league) which does. This isn't a case like Oranges where the plural usually only has one topic or even like Suits where a plural may be more ambiguous and go to the DAB. This appears to just be an error with the bot fixing a double redirect but the redirect should have been boldly changed back to the base name. 12017[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate as the most well-supported alternative to deletion. There is no consensus to delete, but there is consensus to do something because no one wants it kept as-is. -- Tavix (talk) 22:52, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect is a ZIP code in Austerlitz, New York. However, it's is not mentioned at the target either, so since this title does not begin with "ZIP" or "ZIP code", "12017" is an unlikely search term. Seventyfiveyears (talk) 22:41, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Pichpich (talk) 23:37, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Austerlitz, New York (it's in the infobox) and tag with {{R from ZIP code}}. UnitedStatesian (talk) 06:57, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak disambiguate (drafted) given that there are multiple meanings each mentioned at respective articles, or just delete and show search results given that disambiguation pages for extremely unlikely search terms tend to go unmaintained (because no one ever looks at them), while search results are always up to date with whatever's been added to Wikipedia. In particular, I prefer deletion over retargeting to any one of those potential targets. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 11:03, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate per 61.xxx ; as 61.xxx shows, it is also a ZIP code in France -- 67.70.26.89 (talk) 03:59, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Dehradun Shatabdi Express as it's the only article that mentions the number. CaptainGalaxy 00:54, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • All of the articles mention the number in their respective infoboxes. 61.239.39.90 (talk) 03:41, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. It's also the postcode for Robilante, Italy (mentioned). Narky Blert (talk) 13:45, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambig it's also a minor planet listed at List of minor planets: 12001–13000. Thryduulf (talk) 14:28, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete are we going to create 90000 articles like this? The initial creation (in 2017, as 12017 was the year on the Holocene calendar) is clearly deletable, and the various zip code / minor planet / train number usages don't justify a DAB page in my opinion. power~enwiki (π, ν) 20:48, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • If {{R from ZIP code}} are valid redirects, then it certainly can support a disambiguation page of ZIP codes; As pointed out, it's a ZIP code in the US, France, Italy. -- 67.70.26.89 (talk) 05:17, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      • There are about 15 redirects tagged with {{R from ZIP code}}, and at a first glance none of them are necessary. power~enwiki (π, ν) 18:38, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
        • Nevertheless, {{R from postal code}} and ZIP represent valid redirects, so it can support a disambiguation page. (3 postal code locations, 1 asteroid; atleast 4 options)-- 67.70.26.89 (talk) 12:26, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete the proposed disambiguation solutions seem excessive and unnecessary. signed, Rosguill talk 05:23, 3 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
