Delete. The target does not describe the topic "financial difficulties". Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:48, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete this term is too generic and too vague to be a useful search term for any one article (Financial hardship is also red) and there is no entry at Wiktionary to target either. Thryduulf (talk) 13:45, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects to a userspace and seems nonsensical. I don't believe WP: redirects were intended to redirect to userspaces, but actually meant to redirect to WP policy pages and help guides instead. Goveganplease (talk) 18:17, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete, thought it might be for the Tony Awards like WP:OSCAR is for the Academy Awards and WP:GRAMMY is for the Grammy Awards, but no such task force / subproject. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:27, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"North Macedonia" is the official short term of "Republic of North Macedonia". Not "Northern Macedonia". "Northern Macedonia" may include neighboring region such as Serbian or Kosovan area of Macedonia. Wikidata has an item for this meaning. d:Q12910266. --Sharouser (talk) 13:45, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sharouser, Republic of North Macedonia redirects to Republic of Macedonia. Are you suggesting Macedonia (disambiguation) (which has a map) and letting the searcher determine for themselves which Northern they want? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:40, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to the disambiguation page Macedonia. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:12, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as redirect to Republic of Macedonia (which is almost certain to be moved to North Macedonia soon). None of the "Macedonias" on the disambiguation page has a "northern" part that – purely geographically – stands out as a salient, distinct unit within it, so it's unlikely our readers would expect to find an article on any such elusive "northern Macedonia" when they type this in the search box. Which is exactly the reason why we've never needed an article or a redirect for any such meaning before. Given this, and the very high similarity between this phrase and the official new name of the country, "North Macedonia", and the fact that the renaming of that country will be in the worldwide news for a while now, I'd consider it pretty certain that the huge majority of readers who will be entering "Northern Macedonia" in the search box during the coming months will be looking for the article about the country. Fut.Perf. 19:29, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • My opinion is retarget to Macedonia (terminology) or Macedonia. --Sharouser (talk) 00:59, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh, we should table this topic and have it figured out there first as they seem to have a whole Wikiproject on this topic. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:19, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The context is terrible. North Macedonia is the country. Northern Macedonia, does it mean northern portion of the region or northern portion of the country or the country or else. It had to be grouped and discussion in the new Naming conventions (Macedonia). Matthew hk (talk) 01:20, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • That should be done by fixing the timestamp of the redirect tag, not by moving the entire discussion to the wrong log page. I have fixed this here. -- Tavix (talk) 13:51, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Tavix: thanks, I didn't know how to do that. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:30, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep a very likely search term for the country that is (almost certainly) soon to become North Macedonia, indeed there was confusion about whether the official name would be North or Northern on a geography discussion group I read when it was first announced a few months back. Thryduulf (talk) 14:01, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • The new page should be Republic of North Macedonia which redirects from Republic of Macedonia. Meanwhile Northern Macedonia should redirect to the geographical region - Macedonia (region) Wikiknol (talk) 20:43, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Procedural oppose: I agree with User:AngusWOOF and User:Matthew hk. Changes to this obscure & ambiguous redirect should be tabled until the pending RFC at WP:MOSMAC is resolved. It is doubtless it will come up as part of the overall RFC. - Wiz9999 (talk) 13:19, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep/oppose - "Northern Macedonia" seems like it can be easily used by accident instead of "North Macedonia" and "Northern Macedonia" doesn't really refer to anything else. BrandonXLF (t@lk) 19:59, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If Macedonia was the common name of Republic of Macedonia, it may be referring to Republic of Macedonia northern portion. I don't know did it significant or i set ngram wrong, actually there is some result from ngram , but not sure the historical context of the two terms Northern Macedonia and North Macedonia. Matthew hk (talk) 20:05, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And seem main stream media also made typo on the new name of the FYROM, which ABC (Aussie one) use Republic of Northern Macedonia, euronews.com also in June 2018, when the agreement was initially announced, not sure it would only be a short burst of typo, or would it be continuously to do so by media and wiki user. The result of the discussion was retarget to Goku. (non-admin closure) B dash (talk) 14:56, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at the target article. It was removed from the Kamehameha disambig page for the same reason. 93 (talk) 09:26, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Goku as his signature move. It was probably removed because it isn't mentioned on the original Dragon Ball page anymore. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:46, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
While it’s true he does use it a lot it’s far from an exclusive move of his. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.68.28.142 (talk) 21:34, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Goku Despite Goku is not the only user of Kamehameha , at least in wikipedia, the article Goku have mention of the term, but the article Dragon Ball did not. May be a new list of terminology or fictional setting of Dragon Ball should be the ultimate redirect target, but such list did not existed yet. Matthew hk (talk) 07:38, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
