April 15[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on April 15, 2019.

Wikipedia:ERRORS[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. WP:SNOW keep. (non-admin closure) feminist (talk) 00:54, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I propose the redirect is changed to point to User:The Rambling Man/ERRORS. This redirect should point to the place where the most errors are solved. Most admins look at this page for guidance on errors anyway, as far more are listed there than the "official" errors page Joseph2302 (talk) 20:42, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep WP:ERRORS should go to the official errors page, not The Rambling Man's pet project. -- Tavix (talk) 21:17, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep changing the target of an established redirect from a recognised community process to a userspace page which starts out by insulting people is not a good idea. Hut 8.5 21:30, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Longstanding redirect that would retroactive change the meaning of thousands of links. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 21:58, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, and close this disruptive nomination which has just caused an admin (me) to be interrupted while trying to reach main-page errors. Espresso Addict (talk) 22:03, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I understand it, The Rambling Man's page is a site for him to highlight potential errors for admins to fix; the main-page errors is for all readers to report errors. It makes no sense at all to direct IPs, newbies and non-errors regulars to a private user page. Espresso Addict (talk) 23:37, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep it's really nice that Wikipedia has a page where errors on the main page, or about to hit the main page, are ignored. It needs to stay with this here, including this redirect. By the way, I don't think a "pet project" identifies more than 1500 errors in 2/3 of a year, but meh, let's not break up over it. The Rambling Man (talk) 23:10, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ha ha. This might have made a good April fools day proposal... I personally monitor both the errors pages, which are handily labelled WP:ERRORS and WP:ERRORS2. Every once in a while something gets noted on the former page that even the Eagle-eyed TRM had overlooked.  — Amakuru (talk) 23:30, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There is no evidence this airport was ever known by this name. The only hits are from Wikipedia and wiki-mirrors. -- Tavix (talk) 20:37, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly to the recently closed RfD here, the Istanbul Atatürk Airport has never been known by either of these names. -- Tavix (talk) 20:35, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bot creation. Presumably the source used by the bot had a non-standard value in a field parsed by the bot. A taxon authority is not a likely search term for a taxon. Cuvier named at least 140 other taxa in 1829. This might be a reasonable search term for a work published by Cuvier in 1829 (Linnaeus, 1758 redirects to a particular publication), but we don't have an article on that work. Bot creation. Presumably the source used by the bot had a non-standard value in a field parsed by the bot. A taxon authority is not a likely search term for a taxon. Cuvier named at least two other taxa in 1814; Julis and Corycus (both are currently considered to be synonyms). This might be a reasonable search term for a work published by Cuvier in 1814 (Linnaeus, 1758 redirects to a particular publication), but we don't have an article on that work. Gehaz El Reyada Stadium (version 2)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was speedy deleted as G6. A temporary page was needed to unwind the history of Gehaz El Reyada Stadium from Egyptian Army Stadium but it wasn't completed because there was still some old history at this title. I have now tied the loose ends, so this page is no longer needed. -- Tavix (talk) 21:19, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect name of the stadium. Also an uncommon search term. Ben5218 (talk) 14:39, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. It looks like this redirect was left behind when it should have been deleted during a move/s. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 15:15, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Neanderthalz... I am going to murder every single one of you in car accidents for the good of humanity. We don't want you here... You do not belong here. You are all criminals and you must DIE now... How does this make you feel? Are you all afraid? I can smell your fear. I am feeling empowered. Sleep well cupcakes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.13.94.10 (talk) 19:01, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Brexit means Brexit[edit]

  • Keep as a plausible search term. [1] This is Paul (talk) 11:52, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Unlike "Brexit means Brexit does mean Brexit", this is a very plausible search term having been used as a slogan/meme by those in favour of Brexit and as a way of mocking/denigrating/expressing wholesale exasperation at the lack of detail regarding Brexit and/or planning for Brexit by those opposed to it. Graag[edit]

A wiktionary redirect for this subject is unhelpful for English-language readers as the title of this redirect isn't even English. Sidenote: this was originally created as a hard redirect to random articles multiple times by a new LTA before his account was indeffed. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 05:06, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: no need to have a wiktionary redirect for a random foreign word, and there's nothing on wikipedia about any entity with this name. – Uanfala (talk) 11:48, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. This is not a likely search term on the English Wikipedia. According to Wiktionary, it is Dutch and it's worth noting that nl:Graag is also a redlink. Thryduulf (talk) 18:10, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
