Redirect originally created for an artist with this name, but not mentioned in the target. A company with this name also exists (professional audio equipment brand), which seems more notable. (via User:O0drogue0o at Talk:Armada Music) LittleWink (talk) 10:47, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nominator. Musician used to be trivially mentioned at A State of Trance (label) before its merger, but in any case does not appear notable. Meanwhile the company is very clearly notable based on numerous WP:RS articles about it [1], so we should have a redlink here to signal editors that they should write an article about the company (unless someone wants to write an article now before the end of the RFD). 59.149.124.29 (talk) 03:21, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. The phrase appears in a handful of articles, but none of the mentions are substantial enough to be much use to someone who searches for this. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 23:01, 9 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. With no prejudice towards a move request, which would have to be under the potentially controversial section given the keep !votes here. -- Patar knight - chat/contributions 00:01, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure University of Western Australia is the primary topic of the redirect or not, as there is University of West Alabama and other entries in UWA (disambiguation). Using Australian sources certainly UWA means University of Western Australia, but not sure the global usage.

So, should it be re-targeting UWA to UWA (disambiguation) instead? Matthew_hk tc 04:23, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Looking from the UK, the University of Western Australia certainly seems to be the primary topic. Thryduulf (talk) 10:47, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • University of West Alabama is about as prominent as the Australian one. But this is the wrong venue. WP:RM is over there. —Xezbeth (talk) 17:53, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
"If you think a redirect points to the wrong target article, this is a good place to discuss what should be the proper target". Matthew_hk tc 00:32, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
UWA should in no case be a redirect to UWA (disambiguation); per WP:DABNAME, the only time we locate a dab page at "(disambiguation)" is when there's a different primary topic for the base title. When there's no primary topic, the disambiguation page goes at the base title. Since your argument is that there's no primary topic, then this should be a move request. See WP:MALPLACED for further information. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 03:02, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disaster recovery (business)[edit]

delete because this redirect clutters the Wiki namespace, is unnecessary, and is not the result of a move. Stephen Charles Thompson (talk) 22:07, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - Agree with nominator. see no real purpose and it is unnecessary. Turgan Talk 22:31, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep perfectly normal and perfectly harmless {{R from unnecessary disambiguation}}. Given that disaster recovery could also refer to societal disaster recovery (our article is at emergency management) it is perfectly plausible that someone will use this redirect (it got 58 hits so far this year and 77 last year, backing this up). That it has existed for 15 years means that there is a strong likelihood that there are external links to this that would be broken if this is deleted. On the other hand deletion will bring no benefits at all. Thryduulf (talk) 00:04, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Thryduulf. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 22:52, 9 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
