redirect to Charles Taze Russell as WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT, versus an obscure town in Myanmar with questionable notability. Some supporting evidence: "Taze is an obscure masculine name most closely associated with Charles Taze Russell (1852-1916), an early 20th century Christian minister whose theologies and teachings provided the foundation for the restorative Bible Student movement (from which the Jehovah Witnesses would eventually emerge). It took some research to track down the source of Pastor Russell’s middle name (“Taze”), but it’s been widely conjectured and somewhat verified that it likely comes from a Scottish-Irish family name “Tays” (a common surname around Londonderry, Northern Ireland, from where Russell’s father emigrated). " source Prisencolin (talk) 23:15, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Restore disambiguation. Taze is simply his middle name and I don't see any evidence that he actually went by that name, so Taze would be a WP:PTM for Mr. Russell. I see a lot of hits for Taze as a variant verb form of taser (eg: "don't taze me, bro"), so the disambiguation can be restored with links to taser and Taze, Myanmar, with Russell as a see also. -- Tavix (talk) 00:31, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - Just because a town is 'obscure', it doesn't mean that a redirect must by necessity refer to some other barely relevant thing for the sole 'purpose' of not having a redirect to an obscure topic. I see no reason to include Russell as a 'see also' just for his middle name, and definitely no reason to have Taze as a redirect to Russell. It is very unlikely that anyone searching for Russell would do so by searching only for his middle name. It may be suitable for inclusion of the verb form related to Taser on a disambiguation page; however, it still would not be necessary to have "(disambiguation)" in the title, as there still would be no main article called "Taze" and WP:NOPRIMARY would apply. If at some point there is reason for a list article specifically about the name Taze, it would be suitable to have a link to Russell there.--Jeffro77 (talk) 01:13, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - no major objections to redirecting to Taser. If that happens, a hatnote for Taze, Myanmar should be added to the target article.--Jeffro77 (talk) 03:44, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also support a retarget change over to 'Taser'. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 08:41, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Restore disambiguation page at Taze (disambiguation). There's Taze, Myanmar and Charles Taze Russell which are exact title matches, plus taser, taizé, and potentially others that the reader might be looking for. Then hatnote Taze, Myanmar to tell people about the DAB page. Deryck C. 11:49, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Charles Taze Russell is not remotely an "exact title match".--Jeffro77 (talk) 14:12, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

there is no mention of this phrase in the article on morale. there is no evidence for the origin of the phrase, nor a citation on its usage, and i cant find any references. even its use on wikiquote is unattributed. this is an inappropriate redirect. talk page should be deleted too Mercurywoodrose (talk) 07:46, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, there used to be an article here, but it was terrible. It was unsourced in late 2012, and junk-sourced in early 2012. For grins and giggles, I google book-searched and found references to the firings will continue until morale improves as early as 1984 and found nothing earlier than that, suggesting that the WW2 claims in the previous article are wrong anyway. So, delete and maybe someone will do enough research on this to create an article. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 22:36, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per Oiyarbepsy (good research, take a beating). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 09:02, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Funny enough Wikipedia itself was referenced by some article in 2012. [1] It's not listed in Bartleby. But here's a listing from someone trying to research the phrase on Quora [2] AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:37, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per above. Seems to be a joke redirect --Lenticel (talk) 00:43, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - The quote appears to be somewhat notable by itself. However, looking for reliable source citations gives more of a confusing picture, as mentioned above. I'd prefer deletion for now, but I can see re-creation at a later date. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 06:40, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Per above, possible hoax.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 06:18, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Overly vague to redirect here. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 22:21, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Striking vote in favor of dab. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:48, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to La Cisterna. We have a surprising amount of articles with cisterns in them, and even some with "The Cistern of X," but this actually is The Cistern. Capitalization matches, so this could be useful, especially given that it might be hard to search for. ~ Amory (utc) 00:41, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Fun fact: We also have Cisterna chyli, which, given the above is a place in Chile, is somewhat amusing ~ Amory (utc) 00:41, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
      • Retarget to dab per below. ~ Amory (utc) 17:15, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Precolonialization[edit]

Pre-colonial is usually a descriptor for an area's history before a colonial power occupied it. It's certainly not a synonym for colonialism. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 04:10, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Speedy delete X1. Not the worst Neelix redirect but not worthy of keeping. Legacypac (talk) 05:38, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Referring to some entity as "pre-colonial X" makes sense, but the awkward term "precolonialization" appears pretty useless to me. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 07:21, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This may be mistargeted. Or maybe should be deleted. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 02:11, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak Delete - "Popularism" is a valid but uncommon term for the political style of "populism", being used by a bunch of publications some years ago (see here). "Popularisms", though, is a pretty odd plural formation that seems useless. At the same time, I can see why it was created since the singular term is valid. A lot of things are point-of-use. In fact, water heaters, not purifiers, seems to be more commonly called point-of-use. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 02:04, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. I previously X1-ed both of these redirects. Jjjjjjdddddd (talk) 06:43, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - The concept of something being made for "point of use" operation is so incredibly vague that deletion seems like the only real choice. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 08:43, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. It would be different if it were Point-of-use water purifier but there doesn't seem to be any useful article that discusses storage of equipment that is point-of-use or ready-to-use. Maybe Staging or Deployment? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:46, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is not the only statistic to measure the performance of a baseball player. Not to mention, baseball isn't the only sport that has pitching. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 01:54, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
