Delete per WP:GAMEGUIDE. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 22:18, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment discussion of types of jumping are explained in the Multiplayer section for Quake (video game). AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:41, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - Deletion makes sense to me as well. Jumping is mentioned a bit in that article, yes, but this still seems like an unnecessary piece of detail. It should be pointed out that a huge number of video games from the 1990s onward have included jumping as an important mechanic. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 07:18, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Week Keep as {{R with history}}, unless I've misunderstood that tag, (which is very possible), in which case delete. Thegreatluigi (talk) 23:43, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Not particularly worthy of a redirect these days, but this has been around since 2003 and a redirect since 2004 — hard to get history much older than that — so who knows what external links there may be to this. It suggests the content was merged into the Quake article (after some retitlings) so with the merge history, the ancient age of this, and the fact that, well, it's useful since the mechanics are mentioned, this seems worth keeping. ~ Amory (utc) 16:47, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Redirect was created in 2003 and that is more than enough for a keep - I'm a sucker for historical things on this place and so no matter how useless it may or not be it should still be kept .... that and the fact it's remained as a redirect for 15 years - It's never harmed anyone then and it doesn't harm anyone now. –Davey2010Talk 11:11, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

IBM Cloud Video[edit]

Term not found in target article: no evidence that this is a useful redirect. PamD 18:16, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget - From a bit of searching, it seems that the firm has had a long involvement with cloud computing in terms of videos and a lot of different media. I feel like this should go to the broadly-written corporate history article 'IBM cloud computing'. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 08:36, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep It's mentioned in passing at the target and is quite reasonable, but more to the point it's explicitly used by IBM in their branding. ~ Amory (utc) 12:58, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

  • Speedy Keep per Amory - the term is in the target article (diff) and more specfically the term is itself mentioned by IBM on their own website[1], Easy keep. –Davey2010Talk 00:23, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep and add term to lead paragraph in bold. [2] The official website for ustream.com redirects to https://video.ibm.com where at the top right corner it says "Ustream is IBM Cloud Video". AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:35, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

White guy[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate. -- Tavix (talk) 21:23, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect was previously a redirect that had links to several partial title matches and White boy, a disambiguation page; after reviewing the disambiguation page, the only applicable entry seemed to be White man, a redirect to White people. However, I'm not even sure if that is appropriate as this phrase is a bit of a slang term. Steel1943 (talk) 17:06, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep This goes to exactly where it should. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 02:23, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - This is far too vague to go to any one article, even one generally about 'white people'. The term can be a shortening for the song "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)" and for the musical artist apparently known as 'Sy The White Guy'. There's also at least one book known as White Guys. I'd rather than people just search. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 05:44, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete anyone interested in learning about white people is not going to use white guy to get there. white girl is a DAB white gal is nothing Legacypac (talk) 17:53, 9 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Restore disambiguation before you removed it. I'm not seeing the huge issue with it, aside from being in need of some expansion. I mean, this whole series of pages is a mess, with a lack of cohesion and plenty of overlap, but the dab is a fine framework. ~ Amory (utc) 14:56, 14 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Restore disambiguation - Not sure why but I too thought of Pretty Fly (For A White Guy) .... no idea why but personally I think the disam is better than a redirect. –Davey2010Talk 19:17, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Restore disambiguation as the best solution for now. Of course it would be better if the articles were cleaned up, but it's not a big deal. feminist (talk) 04:16, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I tried drafting a properly-formatted disambiguation, but it consists entirely of obscure WP:DABMENTION pop culture stuff (e.g. songs on albums, episodes of TV shows). The prior disambiguation page that people suggest restoring didn't have any proper entries - it was all WP:PTMs and links to disambiguation pages which aren't actually synonyms. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 15:51, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Restore disambiguation seems like the best idea here. Keeping it as a redirect may confuse some people (as mentioned above) and deleting it isn't a good option as there are partial title matches. Anarchyte (work | talk) 10:17, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A notable high school, this should remain a WP:REDLINK until a proper article can be written. The school is not mentioned at the target, by the way. -- Tavix (talk) 17:45, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Hot Chocolate discography. (non-admin closure) feminist (talk) 16:05, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Pointless redirection to band. Egghead06 (talk) 06:58, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep and retarget. The redirect is not pointless - it is the name of a hit single by the band. When the redirect was created the band's discography was at the target of the redirect; now that has been spun out to Hot Chocolate discography the redirect should lead there instead. BC108 (talk) 07:49, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Hot Chocolate discography -Having searched for the title here all results are for the HC song .... so there shouldn't really be any confusion, As nothing currently exists with said title it may aswell carry on being the primarytopic –Davey2010Talk 00:38, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to discography as above. Song searches show this as primary topic. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:55, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I also support a retarget change to the aforementioned article. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 17:12, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to discog where it's mentioned. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:42, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
