The result of the discussion was delete. Deryck C. 10:43, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not a genuine name or nickname, so naturally it's not mentioned at the target article. —Xezbeth (talk) 08:34, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, feminist (talk) 19:25, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom; used in one porn parody and some other books where that don't seem to be referencing batman; no information present for a reader looking for "batdude". Galobtter (pingó mió) 10:02, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. Renominate if another topic known as "Fronberg" is created. (non-admin closure) feminist (talk) 04:21, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ambiguous redirect; subject could also refer to a surname which is not notable for the encyclopedia. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 18:54, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. The surname is not notable, as you mention, so there is no reason to reserve a redlink for that purpose. The castle is the only article that could plausibly be referred to as "Fronberg". -- Tavix (talk) 19:01, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Tavix. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 14:19, 7 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Reasonable {{r from surname}}. — Godsy (TALKCONT) 17:40, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment It can't be a {{R from surname}} as the target isn't even about a person. At best, the current redirect is a {{R from short name}} as from German "schloss" or "schloß" translates to "castle", which is what the article is about. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 17:46, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
      • Named after the "Kunsberg von Fronberg" barons, i.e. Fronberg being their surname? Or is it the Kunsbergs of Fronberg (i.e. a place)? — Godsy (TALKCONT) 17:59, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
        • Oh yeah, missed that point. Then in that case, yes, it falls under both Rcats. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 18:00, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep As stated, Fronberg is not a castle. Schloss Kronberg already has its own page. It does not need to take another page for its own use. Fronberg as a Swedish surname meaning "From The Mountains". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.62.237.104 (talk) 16:12, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Please have a look at WP:NNAME. A requirement to have a page on the Fronberg surname is for there to be at least two notable people that share the surname. The meaning of the surname alone is not enough for notability. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 17:29, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to French Algeria#Characterization as genocide. -- Tavix (talk) 18:39, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Undiscussed at target page, nor is it discussed (at least explicitly) at Algerian-French relations.  — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  08:06, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
