James R. Jordan, Jr.[edit]

The result of the discussion was keep. (non-admin closure) The Duke of NonsenseWhat is necessary for thee? 13:21, 26 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

He is the brother of Michael Jordan and not notable in his own right. The only incoming link was from November 2004 in sports which existed because of his brother. I unlinked James' name from the page. Leschnei (talk) 14:08, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. The first sentence of the nomination is an explanation of precisely why this redirect exists, i.e. so that a reader looking for information on a non-notable person is taken to some relevant information. See WP:INVALIDBIO, which suggests redirecting non-notable family members of notable individuals to their notable relatives. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 15:05, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Pretty standard {{R from relative}}. This is a feature, not a bug—it partially makes it less likely someone will try to make an article on the non-notable person. --BDD (talk) 14:26, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. Potential target deleted at AfD ~ Amory (utc) 12:08, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A generic redirect to a city article for a non-notable organization. Onel5969 TT me 12:52, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per WP:SURPRISE, also no mention in target, created by a suspected sockpuppet and only linked from an article in AfD. --Danski454 (talk) 14:37, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Clarendon Road Presents: A Plastic Free Record if that article is kept at AfD, delete if not. The current target is obviously no use to anyone, given that the organisation is not mentioned in the article and probably shouldn't be mentioned. The article on the album could benefit from a short description of the organisation though, and if that were added it would be the best target for this. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 15:00, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget per Arms & Hearts's recommendation. Clarendon Road Presents: A Plastic Free Records has mention of the organization and this is their most notable work. However, if it is kept, it should be renamed to (organization) instead of (Organization). AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:42, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No evidence this means that. "Gpig" is not mentioned as an alt name in the target, etc. DMacks (talk) 11:28, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Likewise:

that all point to that same target. User:Bodhi Peace has a long history of making or requesting these sorts of random short-form or word-combination redirects with no realistically useful basis. DMacks (talk) 11:31, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Keep A google search for "g pig" and "gpig" shows there are a number of Youtube videos with this term in their titles. There are a number of webpages with webtitles including "g-pig". "g. pig" appears to be less used and can probably be deleted, but I included it for completeness. Bod (talk) 17:25, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Bodhi and per WP:CHEAP - for all except "Gpig" there are no competing uses that even come close to being worthy of mention. In the case of "gpig" there are a couple of acronyms but none for anything with a Wikipedia entry so guinea pigs are automatically primary topic. Thryduulf (talk) 21:22, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Per Bodhi, Thryduulf, and WP:CHEAP. The Duke of NonsenseWhat is necessary for thee? 09:40, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely specific search term. DMacks (talk) 11:26, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. Per WP:CHEAP. This redirect is not vandalism, so it does not hurt to keep it. The Duke of NonsenseWhat is necessary for thee? 11:33, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Does not seem to fill any WP:RPURPOSE, which is a guideline rather than just an essay (see also WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS). DMacks (talk) 11:36, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Keep WP:CHEAP. If someone searches for "hungry baby" maybe because their baby is hungry, then they should get information on Infant Care and Feeding. Bod (talk) 17:20, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not in target - was an incomplete RfD submission PRehse (talk) 11:22, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. Villous atrophy is a condition of intestinal villi. So as long as we do not have a standalone page about the atrophy, readers who look for the term will come closest to finding the information that they want at the target page. --Tryptofish (talk) 18:17, 18 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
