Unlikely misspelling due to the lack of a space between "U" and "games". Also, the version of this redirect with proper spacing and spelling, List of Wii U games, already exists and is a redirect to the same target as the nominated redirect. Steel1943 (talk) 23:38, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The usefulness of this redirect is questionable given its format with a slash and using the word "Disney" first. The redirect has the potential to lead readers to an article they were not intending to find. Steel1943 (talk) 21:27, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

List of Cars characters in other media[edit]

This redirect was formerly an article. The redirect also targeted List of Cars characters at some point. The issue with the redirect's history is that it contains alternate versions of Lightning and Mater in various shorts in Mater's Tall Tales which is part of the Cars franchise, so it's not "other media" and probably not helpful enough to be restored. The issue with the redirect's name is that it contains "other media", which itself is ambiguous. Steel1943 (talk) 20:29, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete or Retarget to List of Cars characters I'm not sure what this huge page history is, but it seems crufty to list all the cross-over media that Cars characters have been involved in. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:19, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently, the subjects of these redirects are educational films released in September 1978. The redirects are not mentioned in their target articles, and are not alternative names for their targets. Steel1943 (talk) 19:50, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Nominator comment: Since I have now discovered five of these redirects, I have to imagine that a list article or series article to retarget these redirects exists somewhere on the English Wikipedia. However, if one exists, I am not able to find it.
    • counter comment to the nominator These are educational shorts based on the original feature films they are diverted from with all new-live action, with recycled animation from respective features. These shorts should not have their own articles, just mentioned some where on the original features article. These shorts should probably not be listed at List of Disney Animated shorts, given that the consensus of that articles it only include shorts with original animation. These could possible be included on List of Disney Live-action shorts given that the live action aspects of these shorts were originally filmed for these.

  • Comment is this like those Golden books or some non-notable children's book publications? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 06:24, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • counter comment These are not books, but live-action/animated educational films based on the respecctive original animated features. Which use original live-action segments and then sequences experted form respective animated film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR24UUGnOnY

Vanessa's Song[edit]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Brent Gallaher. -- Tavix (talk) 16:00, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect is supposed to represent a song by Vanessa, Ursula's name after turning herself into a human. However, I'm unable to find a specific section of the redirect's target article regarding a subject by the name "Vanessa's Song". I considered retargeting this redirect to The Little Mermaid (soundtrack) as a {{R from song}}, but a song by the name of the redirect doesn't seem to exist; there are songs performed by the "Vanessa" character, but no song titled "Vanessa's Song". Steel1943 (talk) 18:36, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also, looks as though there's an album titled Vanessa's Song by jazz artist Brent Gallaher. Steel1943 (talk) 18:38, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment by nominator: Oddly though, several third party music lyrics sites claim that there is a song titled "Vanessa's Song" in The Little Mermaid and have lyrics for the song. But, could that just be a generic title for a song on the film's soundtrack? Wow, this is confusing. Steel1943 (talk) 18:45, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Brent Gallaher as an R from album. It's not mentioned in The Little Mermaid soundtrack nor the musical article. It can't be that notable to keep a redirect but the album would work. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:46, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

These were both short films/mentioned during the end credits of Cars, but at the present time, they are not mentioned in the target article; at the Koreans time, this redirects are WP:NOTWIKIA. Steel1943 (talk) 16:39, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment these are just parody titles of films the Cars characters are watching. Is it cruft to keep these redirects? Should a sentence or paragraph be written about in-jokes to other Pixar titles? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:03, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • @AngusWOOF: You pose the same concerns I had when I ran across these redirects. On one hand, these titles probably will never be converted to articles without violating WP:NOTWIKIA due to subjects' lack of notability; on the other hand, a sentence or two mentioning these subjects may be enough to warrant the redirects' existence, but readers my be disappointed to not find out more about these subjects. Honestly, I'm at a bit of a stalemate on this one. Steel1943 (talk) 19:28, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely, overly wordy search term due to the use of "Disney/Pixar's". Also, the version of this redirect without the disambiguator, Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc. Scream Team, doesn't exist. Steel1943 (talk) 16:25, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect was created due to a page move to the correct title. I agree this vestigial redirect is overly wordy and not useful. -- Whpq (talk) 17:07, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect has a WP:XY issue. Does it refer to Disney or Pixar? Steel1943 (talk) 16:22, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep refers to Pixar mainly as it is a subsidiary of Disney now. Same with Disney Pixar AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:54, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There are other films with the title "Lost and Found" besides the target. Also, using "Film" without parentheses is not the correct way to disambiguate different subjects. GeoffreyT2000 (talk, contribs) 15:21, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: It could refer to List of rediscovered films. -- Tavix (talk) 15:27, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete or Retarget to the Lost and Found dab page under Film and television. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:49, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per the apparent WP:XY issues and the miscapitalisation. This used to be the title of the article for less than two weeks last year, but I don't think this is long enough to make us concerned about breaking external incoming links. – Uanfala 20:56, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Delta IV Heavy. (non-admin closure)Uanfala 20:52, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely search term, no page links here, wrong target article (easy to fix but still useless redirect), distracts in search results when typing "Delta Heavy" --> Delete — JFG talk 12:43, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@JFG, seems like you were asked a question.  — Mr. Guye (talk) (contribs)  20:11, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping. The correct target is Delta IV Heavy, I'll update it. No big deal to keep the redirect, it just sounds weird to have "Delta-4 Heavy rocket" when we don't have "Airbus A340 airplane" or "Volkswagen Beetle automobile". See my point? On the other hand, it does no harm. — JFG talk 21:16, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You can always add {{R from unnecessary disambiguation}} if you feel the term is redundant, but yeah I would redirect to that target. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:39, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Right, thanks for adding this. I think the case is settled, I'm happy to keep things this way and withdraw my nomination. — JFG talk 18:05, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
