Boothworld Industries[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. Anarchyte (work | talk) 01:23, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in the target. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 20:41, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - no evidence that these have any meaning. Probably a hoax.  Velella  Velella Talk   22:10, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - I was the AfC reviewer of the Boothworld Industries draft, which I declined and it became a redirect at some point. Looking back at the Creepypasta page history, the content relating to this was removed in this diff as it was improperly sourced. There's plenty cult interest in the topic, but seemingly little reliable coverage. Unless better sources become apparent leading to the reinstatement of the Boothworld Industries section of the Creepypasta article, I am happy to see the redirect deleted. The result of the discussion was speedy deleted, G7, by Longhair. -- Tavix (talk) 15:46, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The page was created by me wrongly. After moving it to the correct one Ecem Cumert, it is unnecessary now, and must be deleted to avoid confusion. Please see also my earlier note. CeeGee 19:11, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

*Keep Yes, it's wrong, but because this spelling is commonly used in media sources, it should stay. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 22:48, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

CeeGee - This page doesn't seem to exist (and appears that it never has). Have you misspelled it? Is there a link? Oiyarbepsy (talk) 22:50, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It was speedied. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 03:23, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ding Fries Are Done[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget to Deep Throats. (non-admin closure) feminist 15:43, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Neither term is mentioned anywhere in the redirect target. "Ding Fries Are Done" is a non-notable parody of the song used in a single episode of Family Guy, so it is unlikely to be heavily searched on here 74.89.41.22 (talk) 03:18, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've boldly retargeted these to Deep Throats the episode in question that discusses this quote and has some sentences about it being an Internet meme, however the sources supporting that could be improved. One of the videos was removed. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 06:37, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Non-notable early independent album. Removed from target article as the album's existence was largely unverifiable.Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 05:42, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Is there some concern that the below easily-located sources are in fact WP:CIRCULAR citations? I can't find any prior discussion about failed attempts to verify this album's existence. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 13:28, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • Harrison, Thomas (2011). Music of the 1990s. ABC-CLIO. ISBN 9780313379420. Neotraditionalist Mark Chesnutt recorded an independently released album, Doing My Country Thing (1989), before receiving national attention on Too Cold at Home (1990).
    • Sault, Spring (2016-06-01). "Texas Troubadour Mark Chesnutt Continues With Traditional Country". Texas Hill Country. Retrieved 2017-11-23. Chesnutt's country music career formally began with the release of his first album in 1988, Doing My Country Thing (the vinyl version of which is now a collector's item.)
    • "Country star Mark Chesnutt headlining Saline County Fair". KOLN/KIGN. 2016-07-04. Retrieved 2017-11-23. Chesnutt's national country debut came with the single, Too Cold at Home, the debut single from his second album, came several years after his first album titled Doing My Country Thing entered the Billboard Country charts.
    • The fact that the sources can't agree on its release date, as well as the fact that the last source falsely claims that Doing My Country Thing charted, casts doubt on the album's existence. Only one print release has bothered to mention it, and the other sources you linked don't seem reputable. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 18:42, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - If this is a situation where an artist and a small group of initial fans distribute a vinyl firsthand, probably going through multiple pressings of it, then I'm not surprised if the record is labeled as being both from 1988, from 1989, and from 1990. I also see two different covers online. Still, I do see how obscure this is to the point that maybe the redirect ought to be gotten rid of. This is nothing more than a trivia point. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 00:37, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep and re-add to the discography using one of the sources above (or alternatively retarget to Mark Chesnutt). There aren't many sources because of the album's obscurity, but it does seem like the album exists, thus being part of his discography. -- Tavix (talk) 00:50, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep Standard to redirect to album of song. From WP:NSONG; Note 1: Songs that do not rise to notability for an independent article should redirect to another relevant article, such as for the songwriter, a prominent album or for the artist who prominently performed the song. Not mentioned in target. Does not seem to be a notable product based on a quick search. Note:It was previously listed at the Reba dab page, but I have since removed it. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 01:58, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. -- Tavix (talk) 03:33, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The first and last are implausible redirects from Mr. Burns’ last name spelled backward. A Google search indicates that the second is a boat owned by this character, but it is not mentioned anywhere in the article. The article contains no lists about statements or episodes, which would be WP:FANCRUFT. I recently nominated several variants of “List of Homer Simpson's Jobs” for similar reasons. 165.91.13.0 (talk) 00:39, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Comment A quick Google search seems to indicate that the Mr. Snrub redirects are aliases that were used by Mr. Burns in one of the Simpsons episodes. No opinion on whether or not we should keep them however. Sakura CarteletTalk 00:42, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete if not present: The backwards name, according to The Simpsons wiki, was used once in the episode "Marge vs. the Monorail" but this is not discussed in that episode's article. Similarly, Gone Fission is the name of the yacht in "The Mansion Family", but it is not listed by name there. If these were mentioned they can attract those redirects. The rest can be deleted.
