Misleading redirect: This is the ISO 4 abbreviation to a journal named Molecules and Cells, not Molecular Cell (abbreviation Mol. Cell). Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 23:19, 22 August 2017 (UTC) Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 23:19, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Uncredited[edit]

The result of the discussion was retarget to Credit (creative arts). (non-admin closure) feminist 02:46, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading redirect for a term that isn't restricted to this one meaning. Being "uncredited" is not unique to being a background singer; a person can also be an uncredited actor, such as making a cameo appearance in a film or television series, or an uncredited ghostwriter of a book or a newspaper/magazine article -- so it's simply incorrect to presume that any potential interest in this term is exclusively music-oriented. This isn't how we deal with common names for organisms, and it is exceedingly unlikely that anybody would search for this. Plantdrew (talk) 16:58, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was restore without prejudice against AfD. This seems to satisfy all arguments that have been made here. -- Tavix (talk) 17:35, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There is no such list of animals at the target page. Steel1943 (talk) 13:56, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • comment there's no list because in something of an edit war back in 2009, the list was forked out into this article and then replaced by this redirect. Mangoe (talk) 20:41, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • My thinking on this is to restore the list at this title and propose a merger back to the main article. If the commenters there don't think it should exist at all then an AfD for it will be uncontroversial and in any other circumstance this will lead to the appropriate content. List of allusions to The Divine Comedy[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was withdrawn/retarget to Dante Alighieri and the Divine Comedy in popular culture. Thanks for that suggestion Mangoe; I definitely agree with it. Steel1943 (talk) 15:40, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It dies not seem clear where in the target article this redirect refers, given the target seems to lack the list mentioned in the redirect. In addition, the word "allusion" is not in the target article. Steel1943 (talk) 13:49, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

List of all songs by Atif Aslam[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Delete. Ruslik_Zero 20:55, 9 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This page has no incoming links and is the only page that starts with "List of all songs". Since Wikipedia is a work in progress, the use of the phrase "all songs" could be considered misleading, especially if there are songs missing. Steel1943 (talk) 13:26, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as an {{R from move}}. I don't see the title as sufficiently problematic to override the attribution issue, and having no incoming links from current revisions of en.wp articles is not a reason to delete. Thryduulf (talk) 15:24, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • @Thryduulf: For the record, in this case, I agree that lack of incoming links is not a reason to delete the redirect. I pointed that out just to illustrate that no incoming links would be affected in the event that this redirect is deleted for cleanup purposes since there are no incoming links. Steel1943 (talk) 15:45, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
      • Fair enough, but I would disagree that deletion of this redirect would actually be cleaning anything up, even without the attributional reason to keep. Thryduulf (talk) 16:26, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
        • There's no attributional reason to keep as the article's editing history was moved along with the article. The usual {{R from move}} rationale for keeping has to do with incoming external links, and I don't think this is an issue here - this used to be the article's title for less than a month back in 2010, that's too little too long ago. – Uanfala 12:14, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as factually incorrect. The target doesn't list all of his songs, nor does it make an attempt to. I wouldn't care if this targeted list of songs recorded by Atif Aslam (Category:Lists of songs by recording artists has some examples for other artists), but that's not the case here. -- Tavix (talk) 17:04, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

List of all the important events of 2008[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 18:15, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently, this was a requested article converted to a redirect. However, I'm curious of its usefulness, considering that it has no incoming links and is the only page that starts with "List of all the important events". I would have to believe that the use of the phrase "all the" could make the reader assume that everything is at the target page. Steel1943 (talk) 13:23, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oddly, there's no WP:SPEEDY category for this. There's only one article with this title. Clarityfiend (talk) 11:40, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • WP:CSD#G6 should apply. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 13:14, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment It's not an implausible search term as the subject of the article (a film) is based off a stage production of the same name that was translated from an earlier German work that someone might also be looking for (if they don't know the original wasn't in English). Thryduulf (talk) 15:27, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I think the circumstances in Thryduulf's above comment is sufficient to keep. We should not expect people to know what articles exist on Wikipedia and which ones don't. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 04:31, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, target is not a disambiguation. -- Tavix (talk) 17:28, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • Tavix, it seems that until recently there used to be a disambiguation page at this title [1], are you able to see its content? – Uanfala 12:09, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
      • Yes, here is what it looked like (minus the lede and template): -- Tavix (talk) 12:34, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
*Lonely Wives (film), a 1931 American film directed by Russell Mack
*Virgin Wives aka Lonely Wives, a 1972 West German film directed by Hubert Frank
  • In this case there don't seem to be any valid entries for the recreation of a dab page. And as the target isn't a dab page itself (and can't reasonably be perceived as resembling one), then the redirect is downright misleading and should be deleted. – Uanfala 13:16, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Luz Zasso Paoa[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 18:19, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

According to the history, Luz Zasso Paoa was a mayor of Easter Island. Paoa is no longer mentioned at the target, which isn't helpful for someone wanting to learn about her. There are a couple other mayors with articles, so I believe WP:REDLINK deletion to be appropriate here. -- Tavix (talk) 00:23, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete without prejudice against recreating if there's a place that covers this topic. -- Tavix (talk) 17:27, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There are a lot of terms in a lot of different languages that are not found in American English. Steel1943 (talk) 00:05, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Glossary of British terms not widely used in the United States is a more precise target than the current one, and so better in that regard, but it doesn't really solve the underlying issue. It's certainly something that people are going to be looking for, but it's not something that I can find we have as a single item. There are probably several Wiktionary glossaries that cover the inverse (i.e. words specific to another variety of English). Is this the sort of thing we can cover with a set index?
