No closing parenthesis, and also the title with the closing parenthesis, Chobe District (Separated from North-West District), was deleted 3 years after the double redirect was fixed. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 19:11, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Possibly it qualifies for G6 as it was moved to the title with a closing parenthesis but I haven't looked closely enough to be sure. In any case redirects from titles lacking closing parentheses are extremely rarely useful and this is not an exception to the general rule. Thryduulf (talk) 00:26, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - I don't see how this redirect would be helpful. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 21:29, 16 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Flivver[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was move Flivver (disambiguation) over redirect. I'll close this now since everyone appears to be in agreement. -- Tavix (talk) 23:57, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect was created after an inconclusive AfD discussion. I'm not convinced that "flivver" refers exclusively to the Model T. The only reference for this in the original article (last revision before redirection) is Britannica, a tertiary source. Dictionaries (e.g., Wiktionary) do not mention the Model T. I don't believe a redirect is appropriate here. Perhaps a redirect to Decrepit car might be okay, but a soft redirect to Wiktionary might be better. Powers T 17:48, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Swap with Flivver (disambiguation), and clean up the links afterwards. As it is, it's a WP:XY problem, so it needs to be targeted to a disambiguation page. But the dab page that exists has "(disambiguation)" in the tile, and redirecting the plain title to the "(disambiguation)" title is just backwards.— Gorthian (talk) 19:33, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    • Wow. I don't know how I missed that dab page. I never should have nominated the Flivver article for deletion in the first place. I apologize. Powers T 23:03, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Canon Sinuum ( Jost Bürgi)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was speedy delete under criterion WP:CSD#G6 as the page history shows this was created by accident during a page move and moved again a few minutes later. Thryduulf (talk) 09:09, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The space after the opening parenthesis makes this not a useful redirect. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 15:53, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy delete technical Canon Sinuum (Jost Bürgi) already exists. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:38, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This Korean redirect does target a Korean hat, but this "word" doesn't match the Hangul in the target article even a little. Given that Google gives me a translation of "Gathaet", and given the habit of this redirect's creator to make nonsense words out of Korean syllables so that they sound like the English word, I think this needs to be deleted as nonsense and WP:R3. However, I don't know Korean, so I'm unsure. If my guess is wrong and this is a genuine alternate name, I'm willing to withdraw the nomination. — Gorthian (talk) 03:50, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Yep, it's nonsense: 갗 (the first part) is not how the target is spelled in Korean nor even a reasonable typo in any Korean keyboard layout, and 햍 (the second part) is another one of the creator's typical strange attempts at respelling English words in hangul (in this case, the English word "hat"). 210.6.254.106 (talk) 06:37, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per the nom and the anon. Thryduulf (talk) 11:09, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A miscellaneous list of probable nonsense redirects in Korean that link to a Chinese dish, generic shopping, a song, a generic political title, an ancient Slavic title, a Chinese singer, characters in the Star Wars and Star Trek universes, and an Arabian water project. None of the targets are affiliated with Korea in any way, as far as I can tell, so these redirects need to be deleted per WP:RFFL. — Gorthian (talk) 03:34, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nominator and as nonsense misspellings. 210.6.254.106 (talk) 06:37, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as clear-cut WP:RFOREIGN Tazerdadog (talk)
  • Delete per all the above. Thryduulf (talk) 11:10, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete I checked my Chinese/Ferengi dictionary and they didn't even spell it right! I'm just kidding of course, although I shouldn't go giving Paramount merchandising ideas. Clear-cut delete. Miyagawa (talk) 12:05, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. Among these, Joi Chua was potentially a keep but her article does not even mention Korea or whether she had a Korean music career. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:36, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
