This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on October 24, 2015.
Esoli[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
Incorrect Name. Lakun.patra (talk) 10:42, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
Delete as an implausible search term, although the fact a name is incorrect does not justify deletion in itself: see Template:R from incorrect name.--Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 21:29, 17 October 2015 (UTC)- Comment - the "e-i" switch is pretty much automatically plausible, especially for Indian English. The name Esoli is even given in the Isoli article. However, my Google-fu turned up another village of Esoli in Arunachal Pradesh district, located in or near the town of Hunli (I think) and with a population of four. Yes, that's right, four. We don't have an article on that village and it's not mentioned in the district article or in the article on the town, and I think that it's a long way off from having an article. I suppose we should keep this as a plausible error, then. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 14:40, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
- Keep, {{R from page move}} and either {{R from misspelling}} or {{R from alternate name}}. -- Tavix (talk) 20:59, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, BDD (talk) 21:23, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Keep I agree with all that Tavix says, and Ivanvector's comments. I'd prefer
{{R from alternate name}}
to{{R from misspelling}}
, but have both if you want, rcatting is good. Si Trew (talk) 03:53, 25 October 2015 (UTC) - Keep but don't use both {{R from alternate name}} and {{R from misspelling}}. Those are contradictory and you can't have both. --NYKevin 15:05, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Keep as a valid redirect from a page move: had I known it was from a page move I would already have voted Keep. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 19:11, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

Air force three[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- Air force three → Speaker of the United States House of Representatives (links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete, not mentioned at the article and I wasn't able to verify if this is real. -- Tavix (talk) 19:50, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete, WP:RFD#D2 confusing as not at target. I couldn't find it on a gsearch, and we don't have Air Force Three. We do have the US Third Air Force (3 AF, not 3AF → Association Aéronautique et Astronautique de France) but that would seem rather a stretch. We don't have Air Force two as a redirect to Air Force Two, although we have Air Force one (and Air Force 2 and Air Force 1, reasonably enough). We should sharpen Occam's Razor and cut this redirect's throat with it. Si Trew (talk) 02:56, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Note: Si Trew's !vote was correct when written; I just created Air Force two as {{R from alternate capitalization}}. --NYKevin 15:08, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Creator of the article here. I created this article back in 2007 when there was a bruhaha about Nancy Pelosi's travel. For those who don't remember, she flew on military aircraft from DC to her home and back. (Was forced to by the secret service for security reasons). Republians raised a stink about it. She said she'd fly commercial. The controversy died out after a few months. Anyway, there's no special aircraft called airforce three. I do believe, however, that it's used as the designation for the speaker's plane whenver the speaker flies commercial (just like Air Force One and Air Force Two). Raul654 (talk) 16:42, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- But can you find any RS for that? I couldn't. (Or any non-RS, for that matter.) If so, it could be added at the target, or made into an article. The only hits I get are for blogs/comments where it seems to be used somewhat informally or derogatarily. It would, in any case, perhaps be more appropriate then to redirect it to a new section about this brouhaha in Nancy Pelosi and add the content there in a WP:NEUTRAL way. Si Trew (talk) 05:05, 26 October 2015 (UTC)

Heath Fletcher[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- Heath Fletcher → Heath Ledger (links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete as nonsense; there's no connection between "Heath Ledger" and "Heath Fletcher." -- Tavix (talk) 19:25, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Weak keep These are very close homophones. It's been long enough since I took a linguistics class that I can't explain this in more technical terms, but try saying the names aloud back-to-back. Reminds me of my own creation, Joel Biden. --BDD (talk) 21:21, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete. "Fletcher" is not a 'very close homophone' of "ledger". Even if one pronounces "th" as "f" (Th-fronting), that does not imply that one pronounces "tch" (ʧ) as "j" (ʤ). Putting that together, and the fact that Wikipedia uses written, not spoken, English, and that these are not very close homographs, makes this rather unlikely.
- Stats are at about 1 every 3 days, well below noise level, and there are no internal links beyond this discussion i.e. it is unused. WP:RFD#D2 confusing, as it's not mentioned at the target, WP:RFD#D5 nonsense, with Tavix. Si Trew (talk) 03:35, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

Delete. It's not mentioned at the article and doesn't have any other significance. -- Tavix (talk) 19:14, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:RFD#D2 confusing. the DAB at Jewtown lists it as "a fictional town in the movie Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan". That link is a redirect (to Borat) which I have just rcatted as
{{R from full title}}
; but I guess that entry should be deleted if this gets deleted (it's not necessary but would make common sense). Si Trew (talk) 02:15, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- That entry should be removed per WP:DABMENTION. -- Tavix (talk) 02:45, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete, it's trivially mentioned in the movie (only in the movie's version of Kazakhstan's national anthem) and not significant enough for a redirect page. TheAstuteObserver (talk) 05:37, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete per above points. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 19:07, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

Unlikely search term based on the initials of a song that is not known by them. MaranoFan (talk) 18:07, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Comments: I combined these nominations so I don't have to respond four times. MaranoFan, since you created these yourself, you can nominate them for speedy deletion under WP:G7 (I'm not going to tag them because I'm not the author). As another FYI, a related discussion took place here: Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2015 May_20#LMlYD. -- Tavix (talk) 18:31, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you, Tavix. I am aware that I can list it for speedy deletion but that menu asks to pick a criterion which I am facing a difficulty selecting. MaranoFan (talk) 19:29, 24 October 2015 (UTC)

- Donald Trump's Hair → Donald Trump (links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete, as there isn't any encyclopedic content on Wikipedia about "Donald Trump's hair," making this redirect confusing, misleading, and unhelpful. -- Tavix (talk) 17:34, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete as above. Fortunately we have none of Donald Trump's hair, Donald Trump's heir, Donald Trump's Heir, Donald Trumps Hair or Donald Trumps hair. Si Trew (talk) 02:05, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete Trump's hair may be God-tier, but the lack of content merits a deletion. TheAstuteObserver (talk) 05:26, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

President(CSA)[edit]
- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- President(CSA) → President of the Confederate States of America (links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Delete. It's vague because this could also refer to the president of the Canadian Space Agency, for example. In any regard, it's an implausible search term due to the spacing error. -- Tavix (talk) 17:13, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete with Tavix. President (CSA) is red. Si Trew (talk) 02:28, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Its only use was in Confederate_States_Lighthouse_Bureau, in a pipe to display simply as "President". That was introduced with this change of 24 May 2010 by User:LeonidasSpartan, the creator of this redirect on the same day. It looks like what has happened is that LeonidasSpartan has created the content (with a pipe), noticed the redlink, and rather than correct the pipe has created a redirect for it (perhaps not noticing the dodgy spacing in the pipe, the user did quite a major expansion to that article that day, over several edits, so it was no doubt just a slip).
- So I think it is reasonable for me to change the pipe to the redirect's target, as I have done with this change. The redirect now has no internal incoming links beyond this discussion. Stats are at noise level, so I think this can be safely deleted. Si Trew (talk) 02:43, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete typo and ambiguous, as there are many CSA (disambiguation) -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 05:15, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Retarget to CSA (disambiguation as this could refer to several articles on organizations listed there. --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 19:05, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete as vague --Lenticel (talk) 01:40, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
- Delete I concur with the suggestion that the redirect be deleted. I made that redirect as a young, inexperienced editor and it well observed that it a vague redirect. However I must point out I do not actually believe that Canada has a space agency and any reference to such must be propaganda from America's northern nemesis. I feel even, though I have been an inactive editor as of late (read as the last several years,) that User:Tavix should be commended for his courtesy in notifying of this discussion and for cleaning up my youthful error.
