Non-English redirects aren't useful in the English Wikipedia. Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 22:13, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Most importantly, because not even in Spanish are they known as Los Beatles (Spanish Wiki). --Rayukk (talk) 22:55, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per Rayukk's findings. Note that "Los" can be used for a group of males though--Lenticel (talk) 01:24, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete if even the Spanish don't use th term I see no reason for the English Wikipedia to need to use it.--67.68.208.170 (talk) 01:48, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete mixed language title for a non-Spanish concept that doesn't need the Spanish -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 03:16, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. "los" also means "the" in Occitan and Asturian. The former doesn't use the construction in its The Beatles article. The latter also has the article at The Beatles but does use "los Beatles" several times in the prose (including in the translation of a quote by John Lennon), but that does not make this a good redirect on the English Wikipedia. Unlikely search term, created by someone who tried to make a POV-based fork. Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 22:04, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Withdrawn. Lenticel (talk) 01:26, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely typo. The back-slash is so far away from the T on the keyboard, at least on the QWERTY scheme. Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 21:52, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Withdrawn It is, however, right above the Enter key. THAT is a likely mistake to make. I withdraw this listing. My apologies. Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 21:59, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nonexistent game, not likely to ever exist and not a likely search term. Redirect not needed. Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 21:49, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Shitbox One[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. This is a bit of a toss-up for me. It's unambiguous. It's pejorative, though that alone is no reason to delete. So I considered its likeliness and usefulness as a search term. 15 hits a month may be above noise levels, but I wouldn't say well above. Ultimately, I find it near unthinkable that anyone searching for this term doesn't know the actual name of the Xbox One, so deleting it won't meaningfully keep anyone from finding the article. I also note that Shitbox and Shitbox 360 don't exist. --BDD (talk) 13:16, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessarily confrontational redirect. It does appear to be a semi-memetic name for the console but I've never seen a redirect like this, not to mention that anyone could come up with any insulting name for a console that they wanted (this one is also not particularly clever in that department). Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 21:31, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Some PS4 fanboy having fun. It is not a known alias for the XB1. --Rayukk (talk) 23:00, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete unlikely synonym. --Lenticel (talk) 01:21, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep it seems to be used in the world at large [1] -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 03:20, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete non-neutral redirect that isn't widely used. Tavix |  Talk  03:49, 6 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per 65.94.43.89's findings, and the stats showing that this redirect is used up to 15 times a month, well above background noise levels. Thryduulf (talk) 21:24, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Primum succerrere[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 13:12, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible misspelling. It's succurrere "succor", not succerrere. . .which has no meaning. All sources that claim it is succerrere got their sources from Wikipedia. This should be flat-out deleted instead of marked as {{R from misspelling}} because it is misleading people and the target does not give the correct spelling. The result of the discussion was delete. Strange, but I think Zeke is right—this is cross-namespace and then some. If you come across similar redirects, I'd say they're definitely R2 eligible. --BDD (talk) 13:11, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Inter-language soft redirects are generally considered to not be useful. TexasAndroid (talk) 13:24, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. If the target was in the English Wikipedia, the redirect would qualify for soeedy deletion criterion R2; the targets is in the German Wikipedia's "Image:/File:" namespace. (The target is an image file.) Steel1943 (talk) 14:11, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, looking at your rationale again, I would say it still qualifies under R2. In fact, doubly so since it's cross-language and cross-namespace. Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 18:57, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. He's listed as such in the lede of the article, but if this is incorrect, the redirect might be deleted. (If it's at all a common mistake, probably not.) Certainly for now, it's valid. --BDD (talk) 13:04, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm really not sure if this is legit or not. Probably needs an expert. Jerodlycett (talk) 09:43, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, pending expert attention. Marquis (marquess) and Comte (count) are both titles of French nobility, and he seems to have held both at one time or another. While Marquis is a higher rank, he seems to be better known as Comte owing to activities in America and during the French Revolution. The article could use some cleanup. The result of the discussion was Keep. Thryduulf (talk) 11:00, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A red link that needs fixing is a better decision. Jerodlycett (talk) 09:39, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep Does no harm. --Mr. Guye (talk) 13:32, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep it is properly tagged as a typo redirect -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 15:06, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep This wouldn't be just for fixing links within articles. Redirects also serve the purpose of locating the topic the user most likely intended, and skipping a keystroke is a common mistake to make. Accidentally missing the spacebar would be a particularly common variety of that mistake. Zeke, the Mad Horrorist (Speak quickly) (Follow my trail) 21:35, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep for the poor souls who has but a broken spacebar. 野狼院ひさし u/t/c 11:11, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep plausible misspelling/ spacebar issues. --Lenticel (talk) 23:10, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Snowball keep - definitely plausible misspelling. I would NAC-close myself, but the nominator and so far only dissenting commenter has stated their intention not to withdraw, so the admins can have this one. Ivanvector (talk) 21:13, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New Mexico state question[edit]

The result of the discussion was keep. --BDD (talk) 13:01, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Only linked in a list of articles. I've never heard of this. Seems implausible, but RfD seems better. Jerodlycett (talk) 09:10, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I had never heard of this before, but History of New Mexico#Statehood mentions "years of debate on whether the population of New Mexico was fully assimilated into American culture". That might be worth retargeting or an article of its own. I don't know what this could have to do with a variety of pepper. --BDD (talk) 12:18, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment to me, the obvious answer is the link provided by BDD, the question of statehood for NM -- 65.94.43.89 (talk) 15:06, 3 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, the New Mexico State Question is "Red or Green?". It's in the second paragraph of the lead. Skyerise (talk) 01:55, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Skyerise. Reliably sourced to boot. Ivanvector (talk) 17:02, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
