deletion because this redirect is Cross-namespace. Artvill (talk) 14:57, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. We don't need cross space redirects to the article namespace if they can be avoided. Steel1943 (talk) 18:58, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy delete redirect is the result of an incorrect page move that accidentally moved article into WPspace -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 04:58, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep, for the reasons Steel1943 has noted. I'll start an RM to try to determine a stable title for the target page. --BDD (talk) 18:36, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

deletion because this redirect is unnecessary (two name in one title). Artvill (talk) 14:57, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. This title has history, and per the lede of the article itself, this could be a valid search term. Steel1943 (talk) 18:57, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy close. It seems that there is currently a bit of an edit war going on with some editors changing the title of the target page. Until that gets resolved, the rationale for this redirect's nomination doesn't make sense, given the target's current title. Steel1943 (talk) 18:54, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete Implausible redirect: surname followed by 2nd syllable of given name (not a "middle name" in the English sense). Not how Korean names work; subject is not referred to this way, nor is there any other potential target who is. Not appropriate for disambiguation either, as it would just be a bunch of WP:PARTIALMATCHes, like a "Than Smith" page for Nathan, Ethan, and Jonathan Smith. See also #Hong Kyung. quant18 (talk) 10:49, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom; It's like having a redirect from Jamin Franklin to Benjamin Franklin -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 05:00, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ROK redirects to South Korea, so this should redirect to Taiwan (Republic of China), there has been previous reverts without any discussion or concensus. TheChampionMan1234 03:32, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose unlike ROK, there are several prominent uses of ROC in English, especially Canadian English, which uses it for Canada outside of Quebec. -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 05:23, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep My first thought was the TV show, but there are so many meanings, and Taiwan's official name is only known by a small minority of people, not to mention that on that argument ROC should equally likely go to the 1920-1950 gov't of China. Ego White Tray (talk) 05:35, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. The acronym could mean a variety of different things, as shown on Roc, the redirect's target page. Steel1943 (talk) 18:59, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. I added R.O.C. to this nomination due to having a possible issue that coincides with the rationale provided by the nominator. Steel1943 (talk) 20:12, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I think this is the appropriate target. --Lenticel (talk) 05:59, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Split into separate Roc and ROC pages to give more prominence to "Republic of China" and similar. —Kusma (t·c) 19:57, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep - not only a plausible misspelling but at 7 years old deletion could break external links. NAC. The Whispering Wind (talk) 00:09, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hong Kyung[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete and retarget to Hongmin, respectively. --BDD (talk) 18:33, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete, confusing redirect which makes it unreasonably difficult for readers to locate similarly named articles. Consists of a surname and one syllable from a given name, and there's no evidence that the subject is ever referred to this way (and generally this is not how Korean names work). There are many other people with the same surname and first syllable of the given name, so the best outcome is that when a reader enters "Hong Kyung" in the search box, they get taken to a search results page, not to a random person who happens to have those syllables in his name. quant18 (talk) 00:52, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Update including Hong Min in this discussion as it has the same target & the same arguments apply to it. quant18 (talk) 03:08, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete "Hong Kyung" I don't think a set index is viable for this term. And no disambiguation page can be built. Redirecting to Kyung does not seem appropriate. -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 05:29, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment "Hong Min" and "Hongmin" are equivalent, and we have Hongmin uses, so a set index can be built -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 05:29, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguation Hongmin as noted by 65. Delete the other one. Ego White Tray (talk) 03:00, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Disambig page now created at Hongmin. Ego White Tray (talk) 03:18, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fall for You (album)[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. --BDD (talk) 18:28, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete re-direct. Search criteria uses the name (album) in the search, but the only link to the target is a song with the same name. This makes it an unreasonable re-direct, like thinking someone would type Stairway to Heaven (album) when they really wanted Led Zepplin IV. Once the word (album) is included, it makes the re-direct silly. Mburrell (talk) 05:25, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
