The result of the discussion was retarget all to Lotus corniculatus. (NAC) Armbrust The Homunculus 07:19, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I recommend retargeting these redirects to Lotus corniculatus, the plant most commonly known by this name; note that, per WP:FLORA, I am not requesting a rename anywhere. The fact that controlled vocabularies like the Library of Congress Subject Headings and the National Agricultural Library thesaurus prescribe Lotus corniculatus as the authorized term for "birdsfoot trefoil" and its variants makes me think we have a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC here. This may only be an American practice, though, so I'd welcome input from plant experts. If this is carried out, we can include a hatnote at Lotus corniculatus directing readers back to Lotus (genus) if they were looking for something else. --BDD (talk) 23:02, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pasay Arena[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 03:47, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mall of Asia Arena is never referred to as "Pasay Arena". –HTD 22:59, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Are there other arenas in Pasay? If not, this could still be a useful search term. --BDD (talk) 23:06, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • There's one more, Cuneta Astrodome, but that's not called "Pasay Arena" either... –HTD 00:46, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, delete, as readers will be better served by search results than if we tried to pick a target or made a clumsy dab. --BDD (talk) 00:51, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • retarget to Pasay#Attractions and landmarks where these and anything else that could be thought of as an arena are listed. This will serve readers far better than ending up at create this page, nothing to see here, or search results pages. Thryduulf (talk) 17:00, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • I don't think this is a feasible solution. We're not into creating a redirect called "Seattle cemetery" to an appropriate section in the Seattle article, unless of course there's a cemetery in Seattle that's called "Seattle Cemetery". –HTD 00:04, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • Why not? If people are searching for cemeteries in Seattle on Wikipedia with that term, and there is no place with that name, then we should absolutely be redirecting to wherever we have a list of cemeteries in Seattle. Thryduulf (talk) 17:06, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
        • That could be, assuming there are several cemeteries in Seattle. There are only 2 arenas in Pasay, and none are remotely called as "Pasay Arena"... –HTD 09:19, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
          • The number of arenas is not relevant. All that matters is that it is likely for someone who is looking for the article about an arena in Pasay to search for it at "Pasay arena" if they don't know or don't remember the name of the specific arena. In the only full month the title existed as a redirect (January) it was used 15 times, which is more than background noise (around 3-4 hits a month) so deletion will inconvenience people for no benefit. Thryduulf (talk) 03:03, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom as this is probably confusing at best.--Lenticel (talk) 05:03, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, per Howard the Duck. It's never called "Passay Arena." 166.171.59.24 (talk) 11:30, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Murtha[edit]

The result of the discussion was convert to set index or surname article. I will leave it to interested editors to implement this. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 03:51, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The various John Murthas are not the only Murthas: Andrew Murtha, Lydon Murtha and William H. Murtha also exist. Perhaps there should be a surname page at this location; however I'm not sure of whether those three plus the three Johns and the airport would constitute enough entries to justify that, or whether such a page would subsume or sit alongside the current target. On the other hand, given that there are no incoming article-space links and that searching for this term would otherwise simply list the relevant articles, deletion also seems reasonable. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 22:07, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Convert to set index This is certainly the best option, unless we think John Murtha has sufficient primacy to retarget there. --BDD (talk) 23:13, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disambiguate or convert to setindex or stubbify as a surname article per BDD. -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 05:03, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that. It would technically be a surname article, but most of them function more like dabs or set indices. --BDD (talk) 21:40, 15 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
