Unlikely search term. - TheChampionMan1234 11:54, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete unlikely redirect -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 08:09, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete' - has virtually no hits, except for today.[1] Parabolooidal (talk) 17:17, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete per Parabolooidal. --Lenticel (talk) 07:07, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete. This was created as a content page that would have been better named "List of places close of Brisbane". Three hours after creation in September 2005, the original author, user:Figaro, re-purposed the page to be a list of wildlife sanctuaries in Queensland and then moved the page to Queensland Wildlife Sanctuaries, which lasted until Figaro changed it again to a redirect to Queensland in February 2009 when a bot tagged it as an orphan. Meanwhile in May 2006 Figaro changed the target of the "Close to Brisbane" redirect to it's present target. I don't see any use in the current title as a redirect to anywhere but I am going to retarget Queensland Wildlife Sanctuaries to List of zoos in Australia#Queensland (List of wildlife sanctuaries redirects to List of zoos). - Queen of Peace Primary School → Melbourne (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
- Kensington Community High School → Melbourne (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
Non notable educational institution which isn't even mentioned at target. - TheChampionMan1234 11:51, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Retarget per long-standing precedence, to the relevant educational district or local authority. In these cases that would appear to be:
- Altona Meadows#Queen of Peace Parish Primary School, where the school gets a paragraph.
- Kensington, Victoria#Education and schools, where the school gets a mention (which should be expanded to about a paragraph). Thryduulf (talk) 11:02, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- Retarget Queen of Peace Primary School to Altona Meadows#Queen of Peace Parish Primary School which is normal practice for primary schools. The Whispering Wind (talk) 00:45, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- Restore article for Kensington Community High School. By long consensus Year 12 high schools are considered notable. The Whispering Wind (talk) 00:45, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- or delete. If it helps with closing this RFD, because of the sub-stub nature of the redirected page, I would also have no objection to deleting this redirect on the basis of WP:RED. The Whispering Wind (talk) 18:35, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

No affiliation for Chinese. - TheChampionMan1234 11:48, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete WP:NOT a translation dictionary. Target has little affinity for Chinese -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 08:09, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
Keep. WP:NOT and Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a dictionary don't directly address this, as their focus is in the contents of pages rather than the index to them. However, Wikipedia:Redirect does, at WP:R#DELETE:redirects from a foreign language title to a page whose subject is unrelated to that language (or a culture that speaks that language) should generally not be created.
There is some relevance given the sections on Parks and open spaces, which mentions the Chinese Garden of Friendship and Chinese sister city Guangzhou, Economy, which mentions Chinatown in the city centre, and Demographics notes that the overseas born population from China is nearly as large as that from the UK. I noticed that we also have 二埠 redirecting to an American city which has a significant Chinatown section. Wbm1058 (talk) 00:26, 25 August 2014 (UTC)- Comment 二埠 (Yee Fow) actually appeared inside the text of Sacramento, California#Remnants of downtown Sacramento's Chinatown with a cultural explanation for the nickname, so for that I would say keep. 野狼院ひさし Hisashi Yarouin 13:49, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

Uncited BLP; not mentioned in target article. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 11:44, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete. This redirect would be appropriate only if there were some coverage of the subject in the target. There was such coverage at the time the redirect was created (5 August 2014), having been added by user:SwisterTwister on 15 August 2013,[2] but it was removed on 18 August this year by user:Freikorp with the summary "this would belong at an article lie [sic] 'Criticisms of social media', this isn't a myspace issue per se)".[3] If the content is restored (anywhere) with consensus then the redirect can be recreated to point to it, but I've not found any discussion about either its inclusion or removal. Thryduulf (talk) 11:16, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- Keep. I've redirected it to another article.130.166.218.24 (talk) 15:30, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

- Comment The "other article" the IP was referring to is "Diana DeGarmo#Stalking". There is no such section in that article, nor do the words "stalking" or "MySpace" or "Tanya" appear anywhere in the article so I'm at a loss as to the relevance to this redirect. Thryduulf (talk) 12:00, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- That section was in the article, but has since been deleted. If the section were to be restored (and I think it should) then it would be am appropriate redirect.130.166.218.24 (talk) 16:28, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

- Delete WP:NOT a translation dictionary. General topic with no particular affinity for any language -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 05:15, 23 August 2014 (UTC)

What language is this? Not a romanization of Ukranian or Russian, a google search mainly returns results from dictionary sites and Wikipedia mirrors, we'd better delete this before sites mirror this. - TheChampionMan1234 03:25, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Delete per nom.--Lenticel (talk) 03:41, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Comment I think I get it. Xarkiw seems to be a likeness of the IPA notation [ˈxɑrkiw]. Probably delete though. 野狼院ひさし Hisashi Yarouin 23:26, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
- delete transliterations of IPA based on grapheme similarity alone are possibly the worst basis for a redirect I can think of! Thryduulf (talk) 11:20, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was keep. The consensus is that this is a valid redirect since it is a previous name of the target company. Whether a hatnote is appropriate is for post-RFD determination by the article's editors. NAC. The Whispering Wind (talk) 01:33, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
- British Portland Cement Manufacturers → Blue Circle Industries (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
A generic title redirecting to a specific company. This should probably point to a trade organization if there is one. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 02:57, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- No. Please read the (redirect) article - the name is an official registered company title.Prof.Haddock (talk) 03:10, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Allow the full name British Portland Cement Manufacturers Ltd (with "Limited/Ltd") but no comment for current redirect, being easily disputable. 野狼院ひさし Hisashi Yarouin 10:46, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- Comment Wikipedia:Naming conventions (companies) suggest do not included the "Ltd", but the confusion here may suggest this is an exception Prof.Haddock (talk) 13:13, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
- Keep as a likely search term. "About 233,000 results" on Google, searhing with quote marks. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:00, 23 August 2014 (UTC)
- comment if this is kept, documentation should be added -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 08:10, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
- Keep.
In 1911 the British Portland Cement Manufacturers Ltd. was formed by the addition of a further 35 companies, creating a company with an initial 80% of the British cement market.
See also: Category:Cement companies of the United Kingdom, where this is apparently the only sufficiently notable cement company in the UK to have an article about it. Wbm1058 (talk) 00:43, 25 August 2014 (UTC)
