Non notable educational institution which isn't even mentioned at target. - TheChampionMan1234 11:51, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • or delete. If it helps with closing this RFD, because of the sub-stub nature of the redirected page, I would also have no objection to deleting this redirect on the basis of WP:RED. The Whispering Wind (talk) 18:35, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. After almost a month of silence, the subject remains undiscussed on Wikipedia. --BDD (talk) 17:26, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Uncited BLP; not mentioned in target article. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 11:44, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. This redirect would be appropriate only if there were some coverage of the subject in the target. There was such coverage at the time the redirect was created (5 August 2014), having been added by user:SwisterTwister on 15 August 2013,[2] but it was removed on 18 August this year by user:Freikorp with the summary "this would belong at an article lie [sic] 'Criticisms of social media', this isn't a myspace issue per se)".[3] If the content is restored (anywhere) with consensus then the redirect can be recreated to point to it, but I've not found any discussion about either its inclusion or removal. Thryduulf (talk) 11:16, 1 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I've redirected it to another article.130.166.218.24 (talk) 15:30, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • Reverted. Nomination stands. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 22:10, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • I solved the problem, why revert it?130.166.218.24 (talk) 03:02, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
        • Because while a redirect is being discussed here you should propose the new target in a discussion to see whether other people agree whether it solves the problem or not, rather than bypassing the discussion as you did. Thryduulf (talk) 12:00, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment The "other article" the IP was referring to is "Diana DeGarmo#Stalking". There is no such section in that article, nor do the words "stalking" or "MySpace" or "Tanya" appear anywhere in the article so I'm at a loss as to the relevance to this redirect. Thryduulf (talk) 12:00, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • That section was in the article, but has since been deleted. If the section were to be restored (and I think it should) then it would be am appropriate redirect.130.166.218.24 (talk) 16:28, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What language is this? Not a romanization of Ukranian or Russian, a google search mainly returns results from dictionary sites and Wikipedia mirrors, we'd better delete this before sites mirror this. - TheChampionMan1234 03:25, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom.--Lenticel (talk) 03:41, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I think I get it. Xarkiw seems to be a likeness of the IPA notation [ˈxɑrkiw]. Probably delete though. 野狼院ひさし Hisashi Yarouin 23:26, 27 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete transliterations of IPA based on grapheme similarity alone are possibly the worst basis for a redirect I can think of! Thryduulf (talk) 11:20, 1 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep. The consensus is that this is a valid redirect since it is a previous name of the target company. Whether a hatnote is appropriate is for post-RFD determination by the article's editors. NAC. The Whispering Wind (talk) 01:33, 1 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A generic title redirecting to a specific company. This should probably point to a trade organization if there is one. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 02:57, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comment Wikipedia:Naming conventions (companies) suggest do not included the "Ltd", but the confusion here may suggest this is an exception Prof.Haddock (talk) 13:13, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as a likely search term. "About 233,000 results" on Google, searhing with quote marks. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:00, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • comment if this is kept, documentation should be added -- 65.94.169.222 (talk) 08:10, 24 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. In 1911 the British Portland Cement Manufacturers Ltd. was formed by the addition of a further 35 companies, creating a company with an initial 80% of the British cement market. See also: Category:Cement companies of the United Kingdom, where this is apparently the only sufficiently notable cement company in the UK to have an article about it.
