  • Delete this ambiguous redirect, as there are multiple notable Daniel Sterns. Speedy tag didn't seem to work correctly. —Torchiest talkedits 21:49, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, and now it is just annoying me that I can't get the template to show up...--kelapstick(bainuu) 22:20, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as a perfectly valid {{R from move}}. Breaking historical revisions and incoming links brings no benefits

Delete. Redirect from a topic never mentioned in the target article. SORA's web interface does happen to be hosted by the UNM library system, but SORA is "the product of collaborations between the American Ornithologists Union, the Cooper Ornithological Society, the Association of Field Ornithologists, the Wilson Ornithological Society and the University of New Mexico Libraries", and so it is not particularly tied to UNM in particular and should not redir there by default, if it redirs anywhere (AOU would be a more appropriate target, in theory, but doesn't mention SORA either, and neither do the others). — SMcCandlish  Talk⇒ ɖכþ Contrib. 03:16, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete this redirect. Agree that SORA isn't mentioned in the UNM article and this redirect is inappropriate. SORA needs its own article but finding WP:RS is difficult and maybe impossible. Many use SORA to find sources but nobody writes about it except for people and organizations involved in its creation and maintenance, all primary sources. Perhaps an article about SORA can be defended using WP:NJournals. Perhaps SORA doesn't deserve a separate article. A stock paragraph could be added to the article about each of the journals. The result of the discussion was retarget to Error message. --BDD (talk) 17:20, 28 February 2013 (UTC) (non-admin closure)[reply]

A “file not found” error may occur on one’s local computer, for example, if one uses a command line to copy, move, rename, or delete a file that does not exist; it is not necessarily an HTTP error.

(Please note that this redirect is fully-protected, so I cannot put an RFD notice on it. If the protection is the result of an earlier decision to keep this redirect, then please comment here.) (If closing this as “delete,” then please delete the associated talk page also. Right now the talk page is just a request to put Template:Rfd1 on the page.) 71.178.188.47 (talk) 01:51, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Retarget to error message. While it's true that "File Not Found" can apply to local computer errors (and you might even get it as a result of searching for a flat bastard at your favourite DIY store), it is best known as the HTTP 404 error, and I really would think that most people looking for it here would be looking for that specifically. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:55, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Changed my mind after looking at the articles some more -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 21:29, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • It was two years ago, but as far as I recall, there was a problem with a vandal who was targeting various redirects to HTTP 404, so ?I protected them all. I'm not aware of any previous discussion, and I have no opinion whatsoever on what (if anything) should be done with this redirect. • Retarget to error message. This is much broader than the precise meaning of the 404 error, which is specific to servers that can't find pages. 404 errors in fact don't mention file at all. —Torchiest talkedits 19:08, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Tag added. – Philosopher Let us reason together. 05:10, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to error message since HTTP 404 is also discussed and linked in the new target anyways.--Lenticel (talk) 05:59, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
