Non-Western music[edit]

- The result of the discussion was retarget Ethnomusicology --Salix (talk): 19:41, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- Non-Western music → Music of Asia (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
Orientalist framing, doesn't have much place here - especially annoying is the fact that this redirects to Music of Asia. Literally nothing links to this, I say we delete. Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 22:38, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. It could just as easily point to Music of Africa, for example. It might work as an article, but ultimately I think this is just too broad a concept to work as a search term. --BDD (talk) 22:47, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Retarget
to World music which seems to generally be defined as non-western(-mainstream) music. The redirect gets some use so we should keep it if we can. Thryduulf (talk) 23:41, 17 April 2013 (UTC)- Per Obiwankenobi below I now think Ethnomusicology would be a better target. Thryduulf (talk) 17:26, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- Rewritten: "Non-Western music describes music that is not exclusively Western music. It includes the classical musics of Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa as well as non-Western folk music.Kiefer.Wolfowitz 11:48, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
- I've redirect this to Ethnomusicology, which I think is the best option, given that ethnomusicology was originally the study of non-western music - I don't think it is worth having a separate article however. Withdrawing recommendation to delete. --Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 14:34, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- That should work. From Ethnomusicology, "While musicology's traditional subject has been the history and literature of Western art music, ethnomusicology was developed as study all music as a human social and cultural phenomenon." That still includes Western music. But this might be the best shot at satisfying a reader who uses this search term. --BDD (talk) 15:18, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

- High-density high-delivery hosting → List of Google hoaxes and easter eggs (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
Delete Not mentioned on the target article. This seems to be a throwaway joke from another hoax, and as such, is a fairly unlikely search term. See HiDeHiDeHo google -wikipedia. --BDD (talk) 17:37, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Retarget Hidehideho to Hi-De-Ho. Delete Ego White Tray (talk) 03:56, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- Delete. Unlikely search terms, and the likelyhood of an editor typing two additional redundant syllables to reach a disambiguation page is very unlikely. Steel1943 (talk) 20:47, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was retarget Terminal emulator--Salix (talk): 19:35, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- GUI terminal → GNU Screen (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
This redirect makes no sense, as GNU Screen is not a GUI application. LFaraone 14:31, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Retarget to Terminal emulator as that article notes it relates to graphical and text only interfaces. Thryduulf (talk) 16:45, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

- Template:Nf → Template:No footnotes (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
Superfluous template working as redirect. Originally pointing to a template that redirects you to another template. The Banner talk 11:46, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Keep - "Nf" is an abbreviation for "No footnotes", and just like {{cop}} or {{pot}}, should be kept. --Jax 0677 (talk) 15:11, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Keep Harmless maintenance shortcuts with no other obvious candidate for the space. --BDD (talk) 17:41, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

- Template:Ic → Template:No footnotes (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
Superfluous template working as redirect. Originally pointing to a template that redirects you to another template. By now an illogical name for its workings (no footnotes) The Banner talk 11:44, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Keep - "Ic" is an abbreviation for "Inline citations", and just like {{cop}} or {{pot}}, should be kept. --Jax 0677 (talk) 15:11, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Keep Harmless maintenance shortcuts with no other obvious candidate for the space. --BDD (talk) 17:41, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Delete not a template for integrated circuits, the normal meaning for IC. -- 70.24.250.103 (talk) 04:56, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
- Reply - {{cop}} and {{pot}} do not refer to law enforcement nor cookware/cannabis. BTW, the TfD for {{Rozz Williams}} has been open for over one month. When will it be dispositioned? --Jax 0677 (talk) 15:11, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was retarget Born This Way Ball#Controversies per Thryduulf. Salix (talk): 19:23, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
- Princess Die → Lady Gaga (links to redirect • history • stats) [ Closure: keep/delete ]
Disambiguate the more obvious connection is with the dead Princess Di (Lady Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales) 70.24.250.103 (talk) 09:56, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Retarget. The Lady Gaga song is clearly the primary topic for this term, but her main article doesn't mention it at all and so it should be retargetted to either List of songs recorded by Lady Gaga#Unreleased Songs That Gained Popularity or Born This Way Ball#Controversies (with a weak preference for the latter). Wherever it is targetted we should add a hatnote along the lines of {{redirect|Princess Die|the British princess|Diana, Princess of Wales}}. Thryduulf (talk) 11:48, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- Retarget per Thryduulf. Steel1943 (talk) 08:17, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
