Pointless redirect that was left after a page move. Pichpich (talk) 13:54, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - plausibly useful for navigation, a few years old and thus may be externally linked, no apparent reason to motivate deletion. WilyD 09:20, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Was there only a few minutes after an immediately corrected page move and we may want to avoid the impression that there is or was an actual subpage.--Tikiwont (talk) 17:22, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible typos, unlike Hannah Barton. KTC (talk) 11:59, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, I only see one "error" here (not capitalizing the E) so this is a plausible search term IMO. Siuenti (talk) 22:07, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • The plausible search term is Hannah Barton, which is already a redirect to the target. KTC (talk) 09:00, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • Keep. Hannah Barton is indeed a plausible search term, but as also is Hannah Barton emmerdale if someone thinks there might be another notable Hannah Barton. While there presently isn't another person by this name with a Wikipedia article (Google knows of an illustrator and a violinist, either of whom may become notable in future) redirects from unnecessary disambiguation are perfectly harmless. I will mark this as unprintworthy. Thryduulf (talk) 12:32, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - plausible search term, thus useful for navigation, no apparent reason to delete. WilyD 09:19, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect has hundreds of links, mostly from talk pages involving Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikipedia and {{Portal|Wikipedia}}, however it redirects to the main page so I'm confused. Should we create it like other portals or is there some techical restrictions? ibicdlcod (talk) 07:43, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong keep as is The Main Page is the portal onto Wikipedia. -- 70.24.245.122 (talk) 22:22, 28 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Could an Admin please tag this redirect with {{rfd}}, it's protected. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 17:48, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Conditional Very Strong Keep If we shouldn't have a portal about Wikipedia, then this should redirect to our Main Page, our main portal. Further it would be extremely unprofessional to cause link rot to our home page. This has amounted to a redirect to the main page sense 2008, the traffic statistics show plenty of traffic, indicating that this is a well used redirect.
Conditional change to soft redirect If we should have a portal about Wikipedia, then change this to a soft redirect. It would be unprofessional to have an page redirect to our home page, just to change it later. It's a bit late for that, but we can still do some harm reduction. A soft redirect would discourage links from outside Wikipedia, and peoples bookmarks, from using this as a link to our home page. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 17:48, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
