This redirect should be deleted because there is no 2007 film called "A Christmas Carol"; there is no such film listed on the target article, nor is there such a film listed at IMDb. Neelix (talk) 18:20, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. This was created as a redirect to A Christmas Carol (2009 film) back when it was first announced in 2007. That article was then merged into the present target, before being split again as more information became available. So, if kept, the original target should be restored. Looking at the traffic stats, this gets a few more hits than background noise in some months but not others - almost a perfect example of borderline! • I prefer the current target (Adaptations) because it's a possible search term for the 2006 film as well. I don't really object to deletion either. Siuenti (talk) 11:14, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to the 2009 film: if it were announced for 2007, anyone typing this will be interested in that specific film. Nyttend (talk) 00:28, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thryduulf says it was announced in 2007, not for 2007. Siuenti (talk) 11:28, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I feel like this redirect is far too confusing to keep; I don't see any positive purpose it's serving. Neelix (talk) 16:33, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Retarget to Civic Duty. Ruslik_Zero 14:34, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect is a novel or very obscure synonym for an article name and the target article contains virtually no information on the subject. Proposed alternatives to deletion; new article, or new section in target article. Personally I'm in favor of new article or alternatively, deletion; a new section doesn't feel right in the target article     papajohnin (talk)(?)  03:05, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
