The result of the discussion was delete. Jafeluv (talk) 09:41, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Maryland Military & Naval Academy in Oxford, Talbot County, Maryland is closed, and neither had an association with USNA, nor is USNA a successor school. Naraht (talk) 15:14, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Excluding Wikipedia and derivative sites, I found only one reference suggesting that this institution ever even existed and none suggesting that they are related. If teh MD academy is notable, it should be redlinked (and regular-deleted if not). Rossami (talk) 22:19, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • From talking to someone at the Oxford Museum, the school was founded in 1885 and was gone by 1888, however during the first year, a chapter of Kappa Sigma was formed. (There is also a link from Theodore F. Morse. Whether those two things equal notability, I don't know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Naraht (talkcontribs) 00:30, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so a clearer consensus may be reached.

  • Delete, no connection has been shown to exist. The onus is on the article to justify a redirect like this, and it does not, nor have Rossami or Naraht been able to find anything concrete. I am confused by Rossami's comment, though. Is the distinction between redlinking and deletion merely semantics, or is there some functionality I am unaware of? I found nothing at Wikipedia:Red link, so I assume the former? BigNate37(T) 21:17, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Retarget to Brian Nichols#Capture. Ruslik_Zero 17:22, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Should redirect to Brian Nichols. (This) Ashley Smith is notable only for her role in the escape and return to justice of convicted multiple murderer Brian Nichols several years ago and has not been in the news since. The Purpose Driven Life, along with the Bible, is what Ashley Smith read to Brian Nichols while he held her hostage to encourage him to surrender. There is currently no mention of Ashley Smith within The Purpose Driven Life's article. Damon Killian (talk) 13:17, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting deletion. I cannot see how this can be useful. How many people will use parentheses in a search? Logical Fuzz (talk) 13:31, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
