Fragplatz[edit]

This was tagged for speedy deletion, but I think it needs time for some more investigation. The speedy deletion nomination was "term and former content entirely made up by author". Indeed, I couldn't find any mention of "fragplatz" in Google News or Books. Also, one of the references in the page history, "Die wahre Geschichte des Fragplatzen Verbrechens", doesn't appear to exist. Instead, the ISBN number points to the book "Mafia die wahre Geschichte des organisierten Verbrechens", which seems to be about the mafia, not anything in WWII. If anyone could help to shed some more light on this situation it would be much appreciated. — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 09:30, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • It is a hoax. I've gone through the first revision and its sources. Apart from the gramatically wrong plural Fragplatzen, the most obvious fake is source No. 4, which is in fact this book. The "unofficial status" is referenced with a map of aviation infrastructure in Switzerland (No. 2). The image has been taken from the article Speakeasy and doesn't show a Dusseldorf location at all, and so on. To sum it up: a blatant hoax. Delete. De728631 (talk) 20:45, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
