1080 (skateboarding trick)[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Keep. Ruslik_Zero 20:25, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Article created under this title claimed it was completed by Tony Hawk. He didn't. No one has. No one is anywhere near 3 complete revolutions. Target article doesn't mention it either. Extremely unlikely search term. SummerPhD (talk) 16:32, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep because it is a likely search term - the title has been viewed 4-5 times a month despite there not being an article here. A quick google search shows that the "1080" is a notable trick in skateboarding (notable for the fact that lots of people have been attempting it) and there exist redirects at 900 (skateboarding trick), Casper (skateboarding trick) and Ollie (skateboarding trick) (and possibly others) - indeed this was the location of the articles until less than 12 hours ago. This means that searching for an article about a skateboarding trick at "<name of trick> (skateboarding trick)" is very likely. This doesn't preclude there being a better target for the article, but the current one doesn't seem like a bad place. Thryduulf (talk) 18:31, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete because the target article doesn't have anything on this topic, and 4 views a month is as likely as anything to represent people who stumbled here because of automatic search box suggestions, and doesn't support any significant interest in this non-existent topic. —Anomalocaris (talk) 18:56, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rory Kerr[edit]

The result of the discussion was Delete. Ruslik_Zero 20:29, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delete redirect. It would be better as a redlink to encourage article creation. Tassedethe (talk) 14:17, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as redirect until someone actually writes an article on the subject. Not all sports players automatically meet WP:BIO. A redirect is a good answer until someone demonstrates notability. Rossami (talk) 20:51, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment as a full international rugby player he would easily meet WP:BIO requirements. Tassedethe (talk) 20:58, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:REDLINK. Where the subject is notable (and a full international sports player certainly is) then a redirect should normally only be created where the target comprehensively deals with the subject. The list does not comprehensively deal with this player, and there is no other article that covers him in any detail (that I can find anyway) so it's not like this is a redirect to a more general article until a specific one is broken out from it. Thryduulf (talk) 23:21, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete the target not deals comprehensively with the subject.--Brest (talk) 14:24, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sandy Creek, New South Wales[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Delete. Ruslik_Zero 20:16, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Sandy Creek is a disambiguation page, but contains no entry for any location in NSW. There apparently is a location by this name, but we don't have an article about it yet. The redirect to the disambiguation page hides the fact that this article is missing, and is likely to be confusing to readers who follow the link and then cannot find any relevant article. If an article about the location could be written, of course, that would be even better than deletion. R'n'B (call me Russ) 12:22, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. One of the rare situations where a redlink is better than a redirect. (No objection is someone overwrites the redirect with content in the meantime, though.) Rossami (talk) 14:02, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete and I was the one who created the re-direct. Funny - I could have sworn that I checked that the Sandy Creek page described Sandy Creek in New South Wales, but obviously I didn't. Ahem! VinculumMan (talk) 14:20, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Sandy Creek is a locality in the Upper Hunter Shire Council Local Government Area,[1] but it's not notable enough to have an article at this time. It's better as a redlink. --AussieLegend (talk) 21:14, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

West King of Prussia, PA[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Delete all. Ruslik_Zero 20:22, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No evidence that Eagle is referred to as West King of Prussia [2]. All three redirects should therefore be deleted. Dough4872 03:45, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. If this is deleted, then the entry at King of Prussia (disambiguation) should also be removed. Thryduulf (talk) 18:34, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • The dab is still useful as it disambiguates between the rulers of Prussia, the town, and the mall. Dough4872 01:25, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
      • Sorry, I should have been clearer. I meant remove this entry (i.e. "West King of Prussia") from the dab page, not delete the disambiguation page. Thryduulf (talk) 13:28, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
