Delete. Redirects to empty section of the target article, and, even if a plausible reference, there are probably other uses of the term, which may be more notable. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 00:58, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep for now. Undoubtedly this empty section is a curiosity but its future is a matter for that page's editors. If the section is removed, without the concept being addressed elsewhere, then the redirect should follow. However, there appears an intention to expand the section and there are short references to 'safe operating space' in other parts of the article. The phrase 'safe operating space' is not used in a different meaning elsewhere in Wikipedia and 'planetary boundaries' appears, from the Googling I have carried out, to be the prime use. For example, an early hit is this paper from the hugely notable Nature, here. My view is that the way to fix matters is to fill out the section not to delete the redirect.
