June 20[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on June 20, 2010

Silicon battery[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was retarget. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:56, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm opening this discussion in good faith on behalf of an IP user, whose rationale to request this redirect's deletion is: Your article on "battery" doesn't say anything about silicon at all, so this page should be deleted. Salvio ( Let's talk 'bout it!) 16:25, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Nanowire battery. There is no such thing as a 'silicon battery'. What there are, under development, are silicon-based anodes for the next generation lithium ion batteries. Meanwhile, 'Nanowire battery', also a form of lithium-ion battery, is sufficiently relevant to justify a retarget see here. Bridgeplayer (talk) 17:50, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mercury Radio[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was converted to a disambiguation page by Bridgeplayer; speedy close as no longer a redirect. WP:NAC. —  Glenfarclas  (talk) 06:41, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion. The station this redirects to has never been called Mercury Radio and as such this is superflous. There are no pages which link here. GrouseyGrouse (talk) 13:30, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Converted to disambiguation page as a plausible search term. Bridgeplayer (talk) 14:39, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as Disambig per Bridgeplayer.--Lenticel (talk) 05:14, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:Blackknight12/List of Test Cricket Series against Sri Lanka[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was speedy close as wrong forum. This should just have been tagged {{db-user}} which I have done. Bridgeplayer (talk) 13:24, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Songtsän/Songtsen Gampo[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was speedy close as wrong forum. Though this wasn't actually a cut-and-paste move, if you follow the instructions at Wikipedia:How to fix cut-and-paste moves then an admin will sort things out. Bridgeplayer (talk) 15:05, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • I changed the title of Songtsän Gampo into Songtsen Gampo yesterday, but user:Tibetologist does not agree and we need to discuss this first. In the current setting the history of the article has gone lost however into the history of the redirect. Can an administrator please delete Songtsän Gampo and rename Songtsen Gampo to Songtsän Gampo, so that the history of the article is still maintained and the article is named Songtsän Gampo as it was yesterday? Thank you, Davin (talk) 10:47, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Humorous userboxes[edit]

Needless self-reference to an aspect of the Wikipedia project that is in no way official PleaseStand (talk) 05:20, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I created this redirect on 25 November 2008 to allow people to more easily find the project page after confirming that searches did not locate it under commonly used terms. This redirect solved that problem. - Ahunt (talk) 13:41, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - cross-namespace redirect. No incoming links so deletion causes no harm. Bridgeplayer (talk) 14:43, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom as CNR --Lenticel (talk) 05:19, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong Keep I agree with Ahunt (talk) because this redirect enabled me to find this userbox. It has surely helped and will help many other users OttomanJackson 23:56, 21 June 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by OttomanJackson (talkcontribs)
  • Strong delete per nom as inappropriate CNR. Perhaps Wikipedia:Humorous userboxes could redirect there... — Arthur Rubin (talk) 00:20, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - inappropriate cross-namespace redirect, not worth keeping. Robofish (talk) 00:59, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, bad CNR. Create a similar short-cut in the project space, most users can probably find it with say WP:Humorous userboxes or something. --Taelus (Talk) 09:47, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment — it seems that Arthur Rubin removed the nomination for Humourous userboxes [sic] as a duplicate. The same reasoning applies. PleaseStand (talk) 09:47, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What can I say; they had the same internal tag. They not only looked the same, they had the same tag ID. My mistake. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 15:16, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Cross-namespace redirects are what Wikipedia doesn't need, a reasonable redirect might be "Wikipedia:Humourous userboxes". --Andromedabluesphere440 (talk) 14:00, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Josiah the hedgehog[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:54, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect should be deleted. There is no evidence of any Sonic character named "Josiah" on Wikipedia, or the rest of the internet. The article was created as patent nonsense back in 2005, but another editor "assumed" it had something to do with Sonic, and thus redirected it instead of speedying it. In short, this redirect has no validity whatsoever. -LtNOWIS (talk) 05:30, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
