The result of the discussion was Retarget to L (New York City Subway service). Ruslik_Zero 17:43, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect to a disambig page. No apparent connection between the term and the disambig term, or any of the disambiguation topics. Delete bd2412 T 23:50, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

  • Retarget to L (New York City Subway service). 'Robotrain' is a sobriquet given by critics to a computer controlled system for the trains. The system is described in the page and there are sufficient sources to enable this term to be added to the article - for example [1][2][3][4]. Bridgeplayer (talk) 00:19, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Dabify with Automatic Train Control, Automatic Train Stop, and whatever automated systems we have articles for. It is not a New York phenomenon, since many subway systems have no drivers. 76.66.192.55 (talk) 04:50, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • If robotrain is a general-purpose appellation for that sort of train, I would think the redirect should be changed to Automatic Train Control, not to any specific location which happens to use that control. A disambig would be fine too. bd2412 T 18:39, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment - so far as I can determine, this is not a generic appellation, rather it has only been used in connection with the NY subway. If broader application can be sourced than dabifying is fine but, as things stand, I think that approach would be misleading, as would a retarget to Automatic Train Control. Ashlee Register[edit]

The result of the discussion was Keep. Ruslik_Zero 17:46, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect is the winner of the Duel (U.S. game show) competition from 2007 but subject fails notability guidelines. Any pages previously linking to Ashlee Register have been updated to directly link to Duel (U.S. game show). Sottolacqua (talk) 16:41, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Register is highlighted in the article lead. The lack of notability is no bar to the creation of a redirect; indeed if she were notable she would have her own page rather than a redirect. Redirecting nn people and things to broader articles is an entirely proper way of dealing with subjects; we do this all the time with characters redirected to their programme article, sporting clubs redirected to their league; elementary schools redirected to their district; parks redirected to their locality etc. Since she is nn their is a further benefit in that it would deter futile article creation. Bridgeplayer (talk) 17:34, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Bridgeplayer's worthy explanation.  Glenfarclas  (talk) 23:21, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
