December 8[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on December 8, 2010

Piness[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Deleted per CSD R3 (Recently created, implausible redirect.) and per CSD G3 (Vandalism.) It's just a bad reference to a meme of audio manipulation which makes a cartoon say a bad word. The original target it had, before a bot 'fixed' it, supports this. --Taelus (talk) 15:11, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not consistent with pingas. BwburkeLetsPlays (talk|contribs) 20:48, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pingas[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was kept. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 20:04, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Pingas" is usually used to refer to the Sonic the Hedgehog meme, so a redirect to a more appropriate article is needed. BwburkeLetsPlays (talk|contribs) 20:46, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - certainly far more useful pointing to the present target than to an article where it is not mentioned! Bridgeplayer (talk) 02:38, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, it is the plural of the target for several of the definitions I believe, thus I don't see a better target for it. --Taelus (talk) 15:07, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Bridgeplayer.--Lenticel (talk) 02:12, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Snooping as usual, I see?[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. Courcelles 00:28, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Practically no one remembers the entire line, so this can be deleted. BwburkeLetsPlays (talk|contribs) 20:45, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete and salt non-notable YouTube meme, unlikely search term, vandal bait. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 05:08, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, I am certain variants on this have been at RfD several times now and been deleted. Either way, no relation to the topic unless we begin counting obscure memes. (And we certainly don't redirect lines of dialogue to TV shows unless they have significant notability.) --Taelus (talk) 15:05, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Template:The Common Good/meta/color[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Deleted. -- JLaTondre (talk) 19:10, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

These meta data templates are generally used in other election templates that would like to link to The Common Good (the text after Template:), which is a disambiguation page and becomes misleading; as the party article is actually at The Common Good (political party). This almost meets the speedy deletion criteria of T3 and G8, but not quite. Zangar (talk) 16:26, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • So if someone forgets the disambiguator when filling in an election results table, you want the colourization not to work? Uncle G (talk) 17:28, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, at the moment if someone forgets the disambiguator then the colour/shortname will work but when they click on the template-induced wikilink they will arrive at the disambiguation article page, which is undesirable. If these templates are deleted, and someone forgets the disambiguator when used in another template, such as Template:Election box candidate with party link, the result would be screwed up, indicating that they had used the wrong meta template name, leading them to seek the correct one. So I guess I do want it not to work, to ensure they get the correct meta template and not just assume it's the correct one, due to the colouring being ok (as it is a redirect). BeTV[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Re-targeted to Be 1. -- JLaTondre (talk) 19:11, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please read fr:BeTV.It should be an article, not a redirect. LTSC1980 (talk) 12:56, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Be 1 which is the principal channel. It is not blocking an article since that would be created as Be TV. If the broadcaster page is written then the redirect can then point to it. Meanwhile, lets make it useful. Bridgeplayer (talk) 03:02, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was Kept. -- JLaTondre (talk) 19:12, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It should be an article, not a redirect. LTSC1980 (talk) 12:46, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - useful and used redirect. A redirect is no bar to article creation since a page can simply be written on top of it. Meanwhile, no reason to make information harder to find. Bridgeplayer (talk) 03:07, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
