October 24[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on October 24, 2009

4018 Formula One season[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete as R2: a redirect from mainspace to userspace for an article that is not yet ready to go live. -- Soap Talk/Contributions 16:56, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply] The above is preserved as the archive of an RfD nomination. Please do not modify it.

2009 Sepang Grand Prix[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. It was a close call, but I think that there a slight leaning to delete in this case. Killiondude (talk) 06:03, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Continuing a long line of spurious redirects by User:Aquadeias who was also known previously as User:KembanganGreen --Falcadore (talk) 05:18, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. As per User:Falcadore. Cs-wolves(talk) 19:17, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Neutral -- These redirects are pointing to the correct place and are reasonable and unambiguous names for their targets. The stats seem to show that these redirects don't seem to be used. User:Aquadeias should probably stop creating these systematically because there is very little need. That said, I see very little need to delete these either on the off chance that someone needs them. If there's harm here that I'm missing, someone should point this out to me. —mako 14:53, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak keep. Since the 2009 Malaysian Grand Prix was held at Sepang, this redirect makes sense. It could potentially be searched for. However, I agree with Mako above; I wouldn't want to see similar redirects for every GP ever held. That would create needless clutter. -- P 1 9 9 • TALK 13:44, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2009 Nüerburging Grand Prix[edit]

The result of the discussion was delete. Killiondude (talk) 05:54, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. Exactly as above. --Falcadore (talk) 05:18, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've went into the internet, i typed 2009 Italian Grand Prix ..... and there was nothing! So i thought of a plan of creating something like the 2009 Sepang Grand Prix, in case if some of the readers went into wikipedia to check for information. Oh yes, if you don't know yet, I've created a page of K.Kobayashi & T.Glock. If you have any things you're not sure about, leave the message at my talk page. The fact that a large number of redirects very similar to these have been deleted didn't alert you to an issue here?
The Italian Grand Prix is not at issue here is it, although if a search for 2009 Italian Grand Prix is causing problems for you, perhaps you need to use a better search engine. This works just fine for me. --Falcadore (talk) 05:41, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I strongly suggest adding 4018 Formula One season, for not only being a useless redirect, but also for redirecting to a user page. Template:Latest F1 season is also not making a bit of sense. IIIVIX (Talk) 07:43, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, as per the example above. Cs-wolves(talk) 19:17, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. The 2009 German Grand Prix was held at Nürburgring, not Nüerburging. If the redirect was 2009 Nürburgring Grand Prix, it would make somewhat sense. In this case, it is pointless. -- P 1 9 9 • TALK 13:36, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
