April 2[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on April 2, 2008

Primary State Highway 20 (Washington)Primary State Highways (Washington)[edit]

The result of the debate was nomination withdrawn. -- Kéiryn talk 14:29, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary redirect created today with the edit summary "There was never a PSH 20". Unlikely search term for that very reason. Only incoming link is from a subpage of the creator's user page. Kéiryn talk 20:33, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep Numerically, it sits between existing redirects/articles (Primary State Highway 19 (Washington) and Primary State Highway 21 (Washington)), avoiding a gap in the numbers. Redirects are cheap. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 06:07, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • After copying "There was never a PSH 20" onto target article, keep the redirect as it is a likely search item and fills a "hole". B.Wind (talk) 05:09, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm withdrawing the nomination, since I always seem to nominate things forgetting the whole "redirects are cheap" rationale. However, I definitely don't see the point of mentioning the fact that it never existed in the target article. -- Kéiryn talk 14:29, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia-phob-[edit]

The result of the debate was Kept. If misspelled can be tagged with {{R from misspelling}} and a new redirect created at correct spelling. -- JLaTondre (talk) 12:38, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect was created as an alternative to salting, but the target article has no reference whatsoever to this word. The redirect is protected (that's why I couldn't tag it), but it outlived its usefulness. Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 00:53, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Redirect title appears in the target article (see -phob-#Jocular and fictional phobias), which shows Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia as "fear of long words." Seems apt to me... albeit an unlikely possibility of someone actually putting in - without misspelling - "hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia." B.Wind (talk) 03:28, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. As B.Wind. Add: etymology suggests that "hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia" is actually spelt incorrectly - the strong i is apparently not a part of the root word "sesquipedalophobia". TheDefiniteArticle (talk) 07:56, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. Then should we move it to the correct spelling (and correct the mention in the target)? Dansiman (talk|Contribs) 17:38, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On wheelsWikipedia:Wikipediholism test[edit]

The result of the debate was Delete. Hut 8.5 17:33, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cross namespace redirecting, inappropriate even if it is for comedy reasons. The Dominator (talk) 00:12, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Inside joke that has long passed its usefulness (connection with a banned editor, for starters). B.Wind (talk) 03:35, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per B.Wind - and it's not even a particularly funny joke either. Terraxos (talk) 04:35, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per those above me. –The Obento Musubi (Contributions) 08:02, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom. --Lenticel (talk) 22:30, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, completely illogican redirect. Stifle (talk) 10:52, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete I have a strange feeling no one is going to type this in look for the Wikipediholism test. Take it from a Wikipediholic. (P.S. What was it exactly that this "Willy on Wheels" did? MalwareSmarts (talk) 23:34, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Response to question. Without glorifying his misdeeds, I'd recommend checking this out. You can find more about him by searching the Wikipedia: space for him. B.Wind (talk) 03:54, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Normally I'd provide an actual reason for my !vote, but it just doesn't seem necessary in this case. -- Kéiryn talk 00:03, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete This just wouldn't see any use- nobody's going to search for "on wheels" in the main namespace looking for the target article. JeremyMcCracken (talk) (contribs) 06:11, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I think that the joke is that anybody who is entering "on wheels" needs to take the Wikipediholic test. Matchups 04:11, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy Delete It should be deleted because it is a joke. Imagine Reason (talk) 16:27, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment on Wheels; well, I found the redirect out of curiosity for what WoW's catch phrase would link to; I was expecting a link to Wheel or something. Come on, it's funny. <eleland/talkedits> 19:09, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
