January 10[edit]

Lots of redirects → George W. Bush[edit]

The result of the debate was Environmentalism and George Bush, George W. Bush (Environmentalism), Gerorge W. Bush, George Double U, George Double-U, George Double-U Bush, The Bush Factor, Bush Factor, The, George Dub, Georges W. Bush, and Georges W Bush deleted. Baby Bush, Dubyuh, Dubya Bush, George W Bush Jr, Dubbya, Bush-43, and Bush-41 kept. -- JLaTondre 23:34, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A series of unlikely redirects. I've only picked out the ones that don't have any sort of history or any incoming links, and are pretty unlikely typos.

  • Keep Baby Bush, Dubbya, Gw bush, Dubya Bush. Don't care about the rest. --- RockMFR 22:16, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep the ones suggested by RockMFR as well as George W Bush Jr and Dubyuh. —Dgiest c 00:20, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Dubbya in particular I have accessed recently enough to still be marked by my browser as a "visited link". I can also see Bush-43, as I've heard him called that a fair amount. Oh, and everything that Dgies and RockMFR said to keep. Wrs1864 02:04, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Followup. Just to be clear, I think the others should be deleted. Also, there is a Bush-41 -> George H. W. Bush redirect that should probably be treated the same as Bush-43. Wrs1864 15:59, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
      • Added, as no one objected to bush 43. Patstuarttalk|edits 21:02, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
      • I'm not sure if the "support" tags on the top are up-to-date or exactly what they mean, but again, just to be clear, I think we should keep Dubbya, bush-41, bush-43, and the ones that Dgies and RockMFR said: baby bush, Gw bush, dubya bush, George W Bush Jr and dubyuh. Wrs1864 02:12, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep what Dgies and RockMFR said, delete the rest. --Wizardman 03:21, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - just wondering - why is anyone supporing Dubya Bush and [[George W Bush Jr[[? I'm going to assume Baby Bush is a used name, though it seems a bit {{db-attack}}-ish to me. And I'm quite surprised people want to keep Dubuyah (?!) -Patstuarttalk|edits 21:02, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Precedent says to keep names that are likely to be common search terms, even if insulting. There is a previous consensus that Dubya should stay, and so it makes sense to keep reasonable spelling variants as well. —Dgiest c 21:45, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all not mentioned above. As to those currently marked as "support" -- if somebody finds them useful, they should stay, though I have no opinion on them -- Renesis (talk) 21:18, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Gerorge W. Bush as it doesn't seem like too unlikely a typo. No vote on the others. JuJube 01:15, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete most except for the few mis-spellings they are all indications of POV or WP:POINT, and of no help to users. DGG
  • Keep Bush-41 and Bush-43 as they are not too uncommon spoken terms (I'm not sure of the spelling though) and have no POV problems. The numbers reflect their order as predidents. No vote on the others; they don't look that useful but redirects are cheap and none of them look to be attacks in the relevant sense. Eluchil404 13:37, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Titles (song)Chariots of Fire (single)[edit]

The result of the debate was delete. —Centrxtalk • 01:14, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

a. Titles already redirects to same target; b. this is NOT a song, it is an instrumental musical piece. maf 11:06, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
