Possibly created by disgruntled User:Jacob Peters. While the article it points to might not be that person, should we have an article that shares the name of a user that seems to have a grudge agaist the site? BuickCenturyDriver (Honk, odometer) 12:41, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

• Keep. Actually it was created by User:Mikkalai, who is an admin, on August 13, 2005 (over 1 year before User:Jacob Peters's first edit). Until there is an article about a notable Jacob Peters it may as well stay as a redirect to Yakov Peters from an obvious Anglicisation. WjBscribe 12:46, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

• Definite keep: "Jacob Peters" is a legitimate Anglicization of Yakov Peters, a notable Soviet secret policeman. It's highly likely that User:Jacob Peters took his username from the real-life Peters, given his admiration for Soviet methods, but we should keep the redirect as unrelated and pre-existing. Gyan → Jnana

The result of the debate was restored disambig. Someone replaced the disambig with a Sanskrit dict def. A follow-on editor redirected it without apparently looking at the article history. -- JLaTondre 12:50, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

This used to redirect to Gyan Evans - a singer who goes by the name Gyan professionally. Jnana page does not explain why Gyan is set as a redirect for it Jarrod76 04:38, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

The result of the debate was Kept. While these are not used as links, the terms are still used as abbreviations in tables on articles (ex. Roberto Lippi). It is conceivable someone would use the abbreviation based upon seeing it in an article. -- JLaTondre 02:15, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
