February 19[edit]
Robert x. cringley → Robert X. Cringely[edit]
It's spelled wrong. HughL [talk?]/[contribs] • 05:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- You mean incorrectly capitalized. Move to Robert X. Cringley and add to Category:Redirects from misspellings as a likely mis-spelling. --GunnarRene 20:54, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep Aid to common search term. —Dgiest c 08:36, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. I've added {{R from misspelling}}. The move that GunnarRene proposes probably isn't necessary, MediaWiki handles the capitalized version fine already. But, whichever. — coelacan talk — 01:08, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep and close Useful redirect. John Reaves (talk) 23:26, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Naked and petrified → Slashdot[edit]
It redirects to slashdot, but a text search of the article slashdot finds nothing for "naked" or "petri" SakotGrimshine 08:58, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep It's some stupid Slashdot meme. If we delete it, either we need to salt it too or someone will just recreate it. —Dgiest c 08:33, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Delete and salt, then. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 14:15, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep, redirects are cheep, it's not offensive and it points to a reasonable spot. >Radiant< 11:33, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep to prevent creation. John Reaves (talk) 23:28, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Westplatt → Limburgish[edit]
Hardly used word in another language Sarcelles 09:57, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep from what I can tell from a Google search (Westplatt + Limburgish), this is either a dialect or another term for "Limburgish". John Reaves (talk) 23:31, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- The talk page of Westplatt currently redirects to the talk page of Dutch Low Saxon (since Westplatt was moved to Dutch Low Saxon a while ago). I don't understand the difference between these terms, but it seems like Westplatt should definitely redirect to something. --- RockMFR 21:18, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
(1R, 1N, 2, 3R, 3N) → Oradea tram lines[edit]
Appears to be the tram line numbers & colors. Not very useful in my opinion. If kept, the double redirect needs to be fixed. JLaTondre 19:19, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Delete not useful and potentially ambiguous. John Reaves (talk) 03:49, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Michael Moore's Minute Men → Iraqi insurgency[edit]
Clearly created for purposes of political comment, not to assist users in finding an article. Russ (talk) 20:40, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Move redirect to Michael Moore's Minutemen as the most common term. --GunnarRene 20:54, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Strong delete - Intended to defame in violation of WP:BLP and I see no evidence the term is in common use. —Dgiest c 08:35, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Delete per Dgies. WjBscribe 09:33, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Speedy delete. This one is an obvious CSD#G10 and I've tagged it. — coelacan talk — 01:02, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
WP:DRAMA → Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard[edit]
Wikipedia is not supposed to be funny. Seriously, the connection between the redirect and target is spurious, and has only been used a handful of times. I think it belongs in WP:BJ. YechielMan 20:59, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- : - ( -- that is, weak keep We can handle a bit of humor. I like it, and I don't think it's hurting anyone, since it's not listed under "Shortcuts" where the easily offended could see it. We don't know how many people secretly use this redirect (rather than WP:AN) to get to the noticeboard, right?. If this ends up being deleted, though, WP:WIKIDRAMA should probably be deleted too. --N Shar 18:40, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- No !vote, but isn't the rightful target AN/I? By the way, whatever the closing result of this RFD, I'm going to complain about abuse of admin powers. — coelacan talk — 00:58, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Retarget to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. That's where the real drama is :) --- RockMFR 02:11, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- I also think ANI is the best target, but a reasonable case could be made for Wikipedia:WikiProject Theatre. —Dgiest c 17:30, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep seems like an secret shortcut for some wiki insiders, as a previous editor said wikipedia can handle a little humor. Wooyi 04:24, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep It's true and is a well-intentioned joke by an editor in good standing. — MichaelLinnear 03:53, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Redirect to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents, that's where I would assume it would go, anyway! GracenotesT § 05:10, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- Keep we have plenty of humor in the Wikipedia namespace. Keep, or at least point it to Deletion Review :) Koweja 16:58, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
