- Microsoft doesn't give numbers to their software anymore. That went out with Windows 3.11 for Workgroups. I hope that's an "actual" enough for you. Weak keep. GetVersionEx() does return version numbers higher than 3.11. (eg. Win95⇒4.0, WinNT⇒4.0, Win98⇒4.10, WinMe⇒4.90, Windows 2000⇒5.0, XP⇒5.1, Windows Server 2003⇒5.2, etc) I'm not familiar enough with them to know how often end-users actually see these numbers, but but for what it's worth, the Windows Server 2003 article does mention it's internally v5.2, and Windows 98 mentions it's v4.10. --Interiot 05:17, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Two issues: 1) We shouldn't have cross-namespace redirects from simple English phrases, because it's too easy to accidentally link to Wikipedia: space from normal articles. 2) The redirect currently has quite a few backlinks from mainspace articles due to editors attempting to link to one of the Category:Redirects from "As of" links. Most of the cases I've seen can and really do need to be changed to one of those more specific links. I'm happy to fix these cases, however this cross-namespace redirect should be removed afterwards to prevent accidental linking to Wikipedia: space. --Interiot 18:34, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
