Single play from a basketball game that has not (at least as of yet) gained notability from outside sources. While this article is well sourced, all but one of these sources are routine coverage of the 2021 NBA Finals and not specific to this play. The one posted source that does go into more detail about the play only quotes Giannis Antetokounmpo calling this play a “big-time steal” Hardly the significant coverage required for a play to have its own article. A google search of “The Steal” 2021 NBA Finals shows very little coverage outside of routine coverage of the steal sealing game 5. No significance beyond this game is shown in any articles (even after the Bucks won the series) and only one opinion piece uses the term “The Steal.” Frank AnchorTalk 02:17, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

- Delete It's WP:RECENTISM fandom at this point, and mostly using a single play as a WP:COATRACK to rehash the game in series already covered by 2021 NBA Finals. Generic, fabricated term is not suitable as a redirect either.—Bagumba (talk) 03:35, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- Keep LeBron James's block of Andre Iguidala in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals has it's own article.—Michiganwolverines2014 (talk) 14:00, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- Pointing out that other articles exist is not a valid argument in AFD debates. And even so, a Google search of "The Steal" "Jrue Holiday" only has about 10% of the results of a similar search of "The Block" "LeBron James". And most of the first page of results on the "The Steal" search are routine coverage that simply describe this steal as any other steal (e.g. "Jrue Holiday for the steal." and "Holiday told reporters about the steal.")
