A minor non-notable person who happened to be one of 70 children born into a ruling family. Article does not meet WP:GNG, WP:BASIC, WP:ANYBIO. There is no indication she functioned in any way as a politician so WP:NPOL does not apply. Originally this was made into a redirect, but the redirect was reverted. Then a rather bizarre discussion took place after the revert here. There are three sources in the article, two blog posts (Lostfootsteps and KnowledgeZone), and a book with a mention (although this may refer to someone else). WP:BEFORE revealed nothing and no other sources were brought up in the above discussion. There is not WP:SIGCOV from WP:RS and notability is not inherited. The article makes no claim of notability.   // Timothy :: talk  18:00, 11 November 2020 (UTC)   // Timothy :: talk  18:00, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong Keep Starting from the very notable role of Taingda Princess, she served as the one who addresses five precious speeches, like prayers and congratulations, at the coronation (Rajabiseka Muddha Consecration) of King Thibaw and Queen Supayalat. To the best of my knowledge, it is the same as the duty of Garter Principal King of Arms (George Bellew) at the Coronation of Elizabeth II. This point is doubtlessly notable, and I have added to the main article. And it's not just a tale, all about I have mentioned is recorded in the Hmannan Yazawin (Glass Palace Chronicle) as well as in the pages from 147 to 152 of Konbaung Shindan (Konbaung explanations) written by Maung Than Swe. Here, what I would like to point out is that the books I mentioned are NOT non-professional amateurs' works. The writer of Konbaung Shindan (Konbaung explanations), Maung Than Swe, is a former deputy minister of culture. So, I hope you don't think yourself that your knowledge of our Burmese history is as much as historian deputy minister's. Many errors, variations, and ambiguous cases about the relatives of Konbaung family are all edited, purified, and improved scientifically in this book by the writer Maung Than Swe. Moreover, Konbaung Shindan has the full biography of the Taingda princess. So there is WP:SIGCOV from WP:RS.
Furthermore, Taingda princess was honored to receive the appanage of three territories: Taingda, Natmauk, and Myothit. According to the Burmese royal dictionary, in the section of honoring His Majesty's children and grandchildren appanages of territories, it is said that "royal princes and princesses are honored territories, usually one, in the country in accordance with the faith and generosity of His Majesty". It can be assumed that the Taingda princess, being honored three territories, was the favorite daughter of King Mindon. There is one more point I feel I ought to touch on. Although Myanmar now is a democratic republic country, it is undeniable that Burma's monarchy system until 1885 was absolute monarchy, not the constitutional one. (It is already mentioned by an IP address in the talk page of the article.) So, it was the monarch who had all power to control everything in the kingdom, the same is true for the royal princes and princesses who own (Burmese: အပိုင်စား) at least one territory. The Burmese word "အပိုင်စား" is defined, in the official Myanmar-English dictionary compiled by the Myanmar Committee, Ministry of Education, that "right to enjoy the taxes of a territory". If one owns (Burmese: အပိုင်စား) a territory, in the kingdom of Burma, it means he or she has authority to rule and to do everything. It's the main difference between Burma's monarchy and the other, mostly Western, monarchy. Zin Win Hlaing (talk) 09:40, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per the sources found by User:Zin Win Hlaing showing that there is the fully-described biography of Taingda princess in the important historical book Konbaung Shindan. Sources to verify her political roles in the Royal Court of Burma and played in the history of the nation can be found. So easily meets WP:NPOL.Shin Khant Maung (talk) 12:45, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as per the comment above, she was emphasizing documented in reliable sources by historians because of her historical significance. She played a major part in the history of Burma. A daughter of Burma King does not make her notable automatically, but she had held the highest-level appointed administrative position as "Duke" of three territories, which makes her a high-ranking member of the Royal Court of Burma. I don't see how WP:NOTINHERITED applies here. Either way, since the book sources added it passes WP:GNG. I found these arguments in the Royalty project talk page. We are only to record. Not an ideal solution as this cuts out a lot of very important subjects due to lack of media sources. I really do not understand why people are using AfD as a weapon???? • Keep and agree with the above keep comments. NinjaStrikers «» 03:35, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I already said that on the talk page — According to Administrative divisions of Konbaung, The kingdom was divided into provinces called myo (မြို့). These provinces were administered by Myosa (မြို့စား), who were members of the royal family or the highest-ranking officials of the Hluttaw.
Taingda was the holder of three significant dukedoms, with enough references in Burmese grants WP:GNG and passes WP:NPOL. See her fully-described biography in the pages from 147 to 152 ([1], [2], [3]) of Konbaung Shindan (Konbaung Explanations). 185.205.141.123 (talk) 07:24, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
