The article does not meet WP:GNG and WP:BEFORE reveals no signifcant coverage in Wp:RS that are independent of the subject that addresses the topic directly and in detail, only WP:ROUTINE coverage about issues taht the council has dealt with.   // Timothy :: talk  04:23, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Istanbul is the largest city in Europe, twice the size of London or New York. Its governing Council is in the news more or less every day. It is as clearly notable as New York City Council and the London Assembly. I can spend some time assembling links to support this later today, but seriously!
