Keep - Per WP:NOTDUP, categories, list articles and navigation boxes are complementary. Also per NOTDUP, "Furthermore, arguing that a category duplicates a list (or vice versa) at a deletion discussion is not a valid reason for deletion and should be avoided." Keep Wikipedia has various lists of American politicians[1], so I don't know what the proposer is complaining about. List of Irish politicians was kept in an AfD 2 years ago[2]; List of South African politicians was kept in 2009. Useful for listing entries on politicians in a country suffering from systemic bias. --Colapeninsula (talk) 17:17, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
