I failed to find any significant reliable coverage online. Fails GNG and other relevant subjective notability criteria. "Schools are not inherently notable either". ─ The Aafī (talk) 06:55, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There are lots of articles about schools on WP. From the text this one looks more notable than most. However the article does need more references and facts relarted by them. Some notable former pupils might help.Spinney Hill (talk) 10:36, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: Article does not meet WP:GNG or WP:NSCHOOL / (WP:ORGCRIT). Subject lacks WP:IS WP:RS WP:SIGCOV that address the subject directly and in-depth. There is run of the mill, normal, coverage. Sources in the article are all dead links. BEFORE revealed nothing.   // Timothy :: talk  20:49, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep: The chain of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in India are generally notable. They are mostly located in the outskirts of the city and have better infrastructure than the state govt run schools. The language spoken in the area is Odiya which I cannot speak or read. The coverage we are looking for will be found in Odiya media. Looking at what I could find online[1] and the links present in the article I am making an assessment that it should be notable and kept. Walrus Ji (talk) 21:17, 16 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

    • Walrus Ji, That's a weird argument. The system as a whole is notable and I'm not doubting that, because I'm myself a JNV alumnus. Each and every Navodaya schools needs either to pass GNG or WP:NSCHOOL criteria which this one fails. The best course of action is redirect to List of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. Schools are not inherently notable. ─ The Aafī (talk) 06:17, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Aafi, I am making this assessment about this individual school based on the information I could find. Nothing weird about it. Walrus Ji (talk) 07:08, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Walrus Ji, The above link is primary and does not add any thing to what is stated in WP:NSCHOOL and WP:GNG. There is no other good coverage that would merit it an article. Just because the school is founded & run under government scheme JNV, it doesn't make it worth notable, because it fails the WP:NSCHOOL criteria. This is why your assumption that "The chain of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in India are generally notable", which however is not, but The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya as a whole is notable. That's it. ─ The Aafī (talk) 07:17, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
      • My assessment is about this individual branch. This is a large school with good infrastructure. Among the top 3 schools in the district. I am sure there are hundreds of schools in Balasore district and we should cover the top few of which this is one. Walrus Ji (talk) 07:28, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
