The result was redirect to West African Dwarf sheep. Consensus is that there are too many articles about the same sheep. The naming issue needs to be resolved through discussion, not by creating more articles. Sandstein 06:52, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is a content fork of West African Dwarf sheep, which I failed to notice soon enough to tag it as A10. A merge discussion (Talk:West African Dwarf sheep#Proposed merge of Djallonké sheep into West African Dwarf sheep) has been open for more than a month with no sign that any consensus might be reached. Bit of a pile-up. Djallonké sheep is a clear recent content fork of West African Dwarf sheep (and waves its motivations around in the first line: The Djallonké sheep,[1][2] also known by the misnomers West African Dwarf Sheep (WADS) (North American name) and Cameroon sheep or Cameroon Dwarf Sheep (European name)...) Oh, and there's also Cameroon sheep, of course; three times the same critter. This is an obvious merge that, it appears, just hasn't happened due to lack of participation in the merge discussion. - Since Djallonké sheep was apparently created as fork to make an end-run about a move discussion of doubtful outcome (at least that's how I read it), I'd suggest to draftify Djallonké sheep to get the fork out of the way, sort out the predominant name for the breed, then merge all three articles under that name. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 21:01, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge/Delete, per my comments at Talk:West African Dwarf sheep#Proposed merge of Djallonké sheep into West African Dwarf sheep. I'd also point out the very similar discussion at Talk:West African Dwarf goats#Requested move 18 June 2020 which seems to show the same user attempting to WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS on the issue of naming. —Brigade Piron (talk) 09:26, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
