Merge. Although the one match mentioned is described as important, it was a minor fixture, definitely not first-class. Unless it can be shown that the venue was notable in other ways, this seems to fail GNG for lack of notability and lack of sufficient coverage. I support the proposal below to merge with Bestwood Park. Scribbles by The Scribbler (talk) 09:45, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge if a suitable candidate can be found, otherwise Delete. Only one source, and I can't find other information that would help it pass WP:GNG on its own. SportingFlyer talk 07:06, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge to Bestwood Park. This doesn't work as a stand-alone article because of its minimal and poorly sourced content, but the target could definitely do with expansion. Reyk YO! 11:25, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Update of proposal. Have altered my choice from delete to merge (see above). Thanks. Scribbles by The Scribbler (talk) 12:51, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge to Bestwood Park. Very brief standalone article with little promise for expansion and the target of the merge (at the same location) is rather short as well. Icewhiz (talk) 11:55, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. The ground never hosted a first-class match, so fails WP:CRIN. Not really sure it's worth merging it to Bestwood Park. StickyWicket (talk) 13:15, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge probably to Bestwood Park. Both it and Bestwood Estate are not very good articles about council estates in Nottingham. This one is probably about something that came before. Both need very considerable improvement. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:58, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why merge? It looks like you're talking about merging a cricket ground into a public housing estate. Am I missing something? Nyttend (talk) 23:12, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The estate article already includes headings such as schools and green areas, I'd say the cricket ground could also be formatted in there. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:55, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Selective Merge or possibly Redirect, but to Bestwood Country Park. The ground was in the grounds of Bestwood Lodge. It can be seen on the 1900 OS Map. The estate included Bestwood Lodge - the formal estate can be clearly seen on OS maps from the turn of the century onwards and the Lodge still exists as a hotel. The ground was clearly part of that estate, although it may now lie just outside the boundary of the country park itself. If it's worth having a sentence on then that's where it belongs - the history section of the Country Park article could use extending anyway (the Notts CC page references has loads on it). The Bestwood Village page isn'y really appropriate as that's too far away.
The distinction, by the way being made between Bestwood and Bestwood Park (both of which should probably become dab pages), looks awfully artificial to me by the way. The OS labels an area of Nottingham as Bestwood and looking at the development of the area on old OS maps really doesn't seem to create much of a distinction between the two places - this is the sort of artificial non-distinction that I've come across before on articles about localities within cities and that is really unhelpful. • Merge to Bestwood Park (unless a better target exists). Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:55, 23 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, the club, history and ground aren't notable, every village has a cricket green on which a non notable match was played. Sockmaster. Szzuk (talk) 18:54, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
