WP:NOTNEWS. This is a one-paragraph stub about an announcement by the Ukrainian president according to which he has uncovered a coup plot. There has not yet been an actual coup or coup attempt, and as far as I can tell the existence of the alleged plot has not yet been verified by independent reliable sources. The substance of this article is basically a press release of the Ukraininan government, and we are not a platform for republishing press releases. Sandstein 12:19, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep: Meets WP:GNG. Article can be moved or in worst case scenario merged, as alternatives to deletion. --NoonIcarus (talk) 12:23, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Notability is not the issue. Even an article about a notable topic is deleted if it fails the policy WP:NOT, as in this case. Sandstein 12:46, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete at this point, fully agree with the nominator.--Ymblanter (talk) 15:43, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete unless there is independent or outside confirmation of a plot, or something else like notable arrests. Right now this is just a statement by the president. 331dot (talk) 17:33, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support relist: Considering news of this only broke in the past day or two, and how significant an event this potentially is, I would support that at the end of the initial 7-day nomination, an additional 7-day relist is given, to see if additional sources other than "Zelensky says so" have been written. • Keep This is an ongoing story which has continued to be in the news:[1], [2], [3]. Even if the coup does not occur, the numerous news stories point to its notability and need for a Wikipedia article to clarify the facts of the alleged coup. Thriley (talk) 19:05, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
These articles are nothing new, they just continue to report the Ukrainian president's announcement. We are not a news aggregator. Sandstein 19:42, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete  This could be a single sentence in Zelenskyy’s biography. Since Wikipedia is not a WP:CRYSTALBALL, I don’t believe that waiting for it to become something notable is warranted. If it does, then start an article about what it is at that time. —Michael Z. 21:20, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete 7 days later, nothing to date which cannot be covered under the article on Zelenskyy or Russia–Ukraine relations; nothing to date which satisfies WP:EVENTCRIT. Regards, --Goldsztajn (talk) 11:17, 3 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
