The article had been proposed for speedy deletion by criterion A7. I contested the nomination due to the existence of a good number of references. However, further analyzing the article, I realized that many references do not match the content of the article.

As an example of these references, [1] and [2], they are about Copa Truck, nothing about Superbike. ✍A.WagnerC (talk) 15:00, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The same with 2019 Brazilian Superbike Championship, 2021 Brazilian Superbike Championship and 2022 Brazilian Superbike Championship. Sources about Copa Truck. ✍A.WagnerC (talk) 15:05, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment The application for A7 was because the event was an annual summary of the results of a redlinked event, hence inherently not notable. That event has since been shown to be notable in the Portuguese Wikipedia, as evidenced by the discussion taking place on the creator's talk page when you plonked the template of this nomination there. I'm not sure notability in a different wiki necessarily translates (hah) to notability here. Actualcpscm (talk) 18:24, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Question why would a national-level sporting competition in a world-wide structure of a sport be unimportant? -- Mikeblas (talk) 21:54, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - A7 is not the best argument against this one and it's the top competition for that category of racing in its country.KatoKungLee (talk) 14:35, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as per my comments above. Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 15:41, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • The first set of sources are from Copa Truck and don't even mention Superbike, in the Results session, some refs are from the 2019 and 2018 season. I think the article has notability however, but the references are a mess. Cainamarques (talk) 21:00, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
