@Chrisparks: There were two separate histories, one in AFC space and one in draft space. I have merged them together at Draft:Quilter Laboratories. @IamIRAQI: It doesn't matter what exists on other Wikipedias. We have processes for making editorial decisions about what to keep and delete. Therefore:

Kingsway Communications

This page was marked for redirection/deletion back in September, to the David C Cook page because Kingsway was “owned by a company with an article” and because its “notability [was] questionable.” However Kingsway was a well known Christian music company in the UK, and it’s successor Integrity Music (owned by David C Cook) still has its own page. Please consider reinstating the page as it was useful to refer to, eg as a historic reference to a former company. Ma595 (talk) 21:53, 10 January 2018 (UTC)

There are a number of discussions, such as this one and this one, surrounding a question of whether Forbes billionnaire lists can be published here, concluding that the full lists can't be, but they point to a discussion at Talk:List of billionaires#Fair use limitations as the determining decision, and that page is no longer there. List of Sony flashes for Multi Interface Shoe

Also applies to List of Sony flashes for Auto-lock Accessory Shoe.

Hi, I just saw that the above mentioned two list articles were deleted recently, but without proper deletion discussion. I am therefore asking for undeletion.

  • Per our established process I would normally have contacted the closing admin, but a hatnote on his talk page explicitly advises against contacting him for this, that's why I am here instead.
  • Per our established process (WP:AFDLIST) the creator and main contributors of an article should be informed of deletion nominations. I am the creator and main contributor and have not been informed. Since I do not normally monitor AfDs I didn't see the nominations and consequently could not provide a rationale for the existance of these list articles.
  • There were very few participants in the discussion and the "Delete" votes incorrectly stated that the information could be found elsewere. However, they did not realize, that this only held true for as long as the list articles existed - because the lists were transcluded into these articles. Now, that the lists have been deleted, the articles (iISO flash shoe, Multi Interface Shoe, Sony α and possibly more) also lack this information. It is ironical that both lists have been created in order to reduce redundancy and improve maintainability. Previously, the information about flashes had to be maintained in three independent articles, that's why the information was combined and moved into the two list articles, which in turn were transcluded back into those articles, so that the information could be maintained in one place and all articles were kept up to date automatically.
  • Both list articles had a multitude of redirects linking into them (IIRC dozens), which all have been deleted as well now (also without informing me). Instead, those redirects should have been redirected to the other corresponding articles.
  • All in all, both list articles and the corresponding redirects were a vital part of the infrastructure explaining the otherwise difficult to understand Sony flash system (because of the consequences of the change of the flash shoe). The articles were accurate, complete and up to date, well maintained including properly categorized (and IIRC also well sourced), and what is left now is several articles lacking vital information.

Since the nominations were not carried out properly and consequently the outcome of the discussion was different from what it would have been if I would have participated and if the other participants would have been informed about the purpose of the lists and the far-reaching consequences of their deletion, I would like to ask for undeletion of both list articles. An alternative to these list articles is to reincorporate the information into the related articles, however, it will only make it more difficult to maintain the information - and it would cost me weeks to research and recreate the information from scratch again.

Draft:Cats (film)

The draft is of a film that's presently under development. The purpose of it being in the draftspace is so that whenever there's information to be added during the pre-production phase I can add it there. Then when filming begins I can just move it from the draftspace. The deletion I feel wasn't warranted, and furthermore I dislike immensely not being informed of it's deletion.  Not done, the OTRS ticket 2017062010002373 is indeed not credible, because the ticket consists of a request TO the copyright holder to confirm permission under an acceptable free license, and no reply was ever received. Therefore, the image has no permission, and was correctly deleted. There have been four separate unrelated images uploaded to that same file name. You uploaded the most recent one naming http://www.kosmikradiation.com/2007.02.07.htm as the source, so the burden is on you to obtain the correct permission from wherever or whoever you got that image, and have that permission sent to OTRS. ~Anachronist (talk) 05:47, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

John Lennon Songwriting Contest

This got deleted back in December when I wasn't paying attention. I don't disagree that it needed more sourcing, but a while back I'd done a fair amount of work on a small portion of it much earlier as part of desultory effort to make it better and am sorry to see the article deleted rather than fixed. Could you be so kind as to restore it to a scratch page for me so that I can give improving it a shot-- I don't want to start from nothing. I forgot to mention, I think I probably can establish notability for this as among the most famous of songwriting contests, e.g. it is so identified in "The Indie Band Survival Guide: The Complete Manual for the Do-It-Yourself Musician" by Randy Chertkow and ‎Jason Feehan, Billboard magazine has written about it (says it is the most famous contest) and the folks on its judging panel from time to time, etc. Crypticfirefly (talk) 04:13, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

This page is really only for the restoration of uncontroversial articles for the most part, so this is something you would have to talk to them about restoring. One of the biggest recommendations I can give you is that you should disclose your conflict of interest (ie, are you Nagpal or someone hired to write about him) and give examples of sourcing that you would use. Also, be careful about controversies as far as coverage and notability goes - not all of these are the type of things that Wikipedia tends to cover. From what I can tell, this looks to be relationship drama, which is not the type of thing that Wikipedia tends to consider encyclopedic enough to include or count as notability-giving.
