Parentheses typo. QuicoleJR (talk) 19:47, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Skarmory: with respect to this, Blue (Pokemon) also redirects to the above target and contains a hatnote linking to Pokemon Blue. Utopes (talk / cont) 07:07, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Writing in a new line to avoid messing up the ping again 😅, it seems I meant to link Blue (Pokémon) which for some reason has a different target than the same redirect without the diacritic. I imagine this is something that can be WP:BOLDly changed following this RfD. (it actually has nothing to do with this RfD, Red (Pokemon) is the same way so I'm just going to do it) Utopes (talk / cont) 07:14, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete due to malformed modifier --Lenticel (talk) 00:18, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per the above, not going to be plausible without the space. Utopes (talk / cont) 08:15, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete it was at this title for around 3 minutes in 2005. Crouch, Swale (talk) 20:18, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:RDAB due to the lack of space between the title and the disambiguator. The properly spaced title is this redirect's target. (Redirect has no article space incoming links.) Steel1943 (talk) 16:50, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have just redirected "Limba noastră (public holiday)" to "Romanian Language Day". This is because Moldova renamed this holiday on March 2023 and now it's basically the same as Romania's. This holiday was never known as the "National Language Day" in Moldova. I assume whoever first used this redirect might have seen this holiday described as "the national language day" and believed it was the holiday's name, perhaps because they were not familiar with the Romanian language. An example would be this [1] (Moldova sarbatoreste ziua limbii nationale "Limba noastra", "Moldova celebrates the national language day "Our Language"; notice the lack of capitalization, it is not a proper name).

Searching "National Language Day" on Google only gives Wikipedia as a first result followed by websites such as officeholiday.com or holidayapi.com which have obviously taken this info from Wikipedia. Some other results also refer to a holiday in Bangladesh [2] actually known as the International Mother Language Day or to another in Latvia [3] which is actually known as the State Language Day. No holiday is known by this name and these instances are the result of mistranslation or confusion. So a disambiguation page is not appropriate. The redirect should be deleted. • Delete. I tried to figure out why this title saw a huge spike in activity on 15 August this year, otherwise it's not used much at all. 15 August is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary in many countries, but unrelated to language. It's also National Acadian Day in Maritime Canada, which is related to language but it's not a similar name. And it's also National Liberation Day of Korea, but again not related to language. International Mother Language Day is 21 February, but that's also pretty far off from "National Language Day". None of those are really appropriate targets, nor is the current target per the nomination. An inaccurate title published on Wikipedia being picked up by content farms and reproduced as fact is actively harmful, and this should be deleted. The result of the discussion was L+retarget to List of Generation Z slang. With all this building material, maybe I can make a WP:SNOW sculpture... (non-admin closure) Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 14:49, 4 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned at target, and was not mentioned at time of creation. Mentioned and linked at List of Generation Z slang. Suggest retargeting there and unlinking. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 04:55, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
